Time to get started, but first....some questions.

    I use a 400W with a cooltube in a 2' x 3' x 40" space w/o any problems.

7" is a little big, 2" is more typical. Planning on trying a Super Lemon Haze next grow, currently it's Alaskan Thunderfuck. You can scrog with either, Woodsmantoker talks about it a couple pages back in this thread. Look forward to seeing your grow.

    homemade ac unit

Hey mikov, I'm working on an proof of concept right now that should be finished this weekend (have to chase down a sheet of copper). If it works I'll post it here or start a thread. If you are looking for a cheap route, the salvaged mini-fridge is the way to go, can't build anything better...

Its late, I'm tired, something is buggering my plants....

My guess is potassium toxicity, I'd flush the whole rig with water/H2O2 and maybe a leaching agent then just pH'd water 'til they perk up. My .02 cents anyway.

    Best way to keep moms.

You can keep her smaller by applying bonsai techniques and keep them several years but it's a bit more work. Here's a couple of pics from an old forum (credit OT1) and a couple pics of one I've just started training.

first time indoor grow, working out the kinks. +rep for good help :)

Main thing about the floros is keep them as close as possible, the light intensity dissipates quickly over just a few inches.

    400W Alaskan Thunderfuck SCROG

@woodsmantoker - bigger scrog... hmm... I like the way you think! Considering going the edibles route and would certainly need more plants. Right now it's reasonably under control, the stretching has slowed way down, buds are fairly well distributed. Notice the tilt to the screen, both...

    400W Alaskan Thunderfuck SCROG

Hey Pure, I was thinking the same thing! I'm thinking it's dependent on the strain though. This one has a lot of sativa but she responds well to training so 1 plant / container would have probably been less headache. I could have made it easier with more training earlier on as well. The down...

Seeds don't always all germinate, easier to cull before you plant. Depends on the fans, mine are about as loud as a desk fan altogether. A DIY carbon filter is easy to make and can be made to look like most anything.

Cool, I meant turn the bottom into a sliding tray and hanging the light from the top ones sounds good. With a 150W light your plant is going to stretch somewhat that far from the light, you can raise the plants or lower the light initially. No big deal just something to think about as you build.

    Ventilation Question

While I'm searching, do you have access to a plumbing vent stack? I've seen that utilized for exhaust from a basement or crawlspace grow.

    Ventilation Question

I read about someone using their water heater vent a long time ago... let me dig through my archives and see if I can find it.

That metal support in the center is going to get cussed a lot during your grow, if it's not structural I'd try to remove it. Since you already have 1/2 the drawer slide on the bottom you might consider pulling the other half off the drawer and screwing them to a piece of plywood the size of the...

Full tilt med SCROG. blue w, mango cush, jack herrer. Ebb/flow, co2, botanicare

Adding the H2O2 won't hurt anything, I use it every time I mix nutes or flush. I had a similar issue once when I didn't flush new hydroton adequately though it wasn't quite as wide a swing and it was fairly obvious (cloudy water). The ppm increase could be attributable to absorption &...
