Any way to improve the yield?

Anyone have any experience with the big kahuna reflector? Is it me or is there a major design flaw. It seems there its no way to wire the light/reflector to the ballast without puncturing a hole into the aluminum ducting of the ventilation system

What exactly is passive hydro? Would that be some sort of flood and drain system? I have looked into flood and drain but I haven't found a reservoir that would be able to water all of my plants
