I've known a couple people that watered with hoses and then wondered why there plants turned yellow. My theory is that they flushed all the nutes away.

Careful watering with a hose cause it can be easy to over water.

Foam board would be a good choice for the rigidity of the walls, but I would wrap it in panda film anyways. You could fix those three issues and see what happens. It could grow into something, but me personally, I'd start over. But first do the research and get some lights. I recommend the search button, top right hand corner.
