Looks good, no need to let the root grow so big. It kinda wastes a lot of good growing energy the seed had stored up. I put right in soil when the root is about 1/8 to a 1/4 inch long. Seed shell up of course.

I use the clear cups so I can monitor root growth. I don't normally see algae.

I guess this is a question for anybody who can answer. I've noticed in a lot of seedling pics people are using two solo cups that appear to be the same, why? I use two solo cups myself but the one that the plant is in is clear and I put that one inside of a red solo cup to block the light.

Take a peek with a scope or some type of jewlers loupe. You might be able to see the little critters.

Sounds like it could get to be a pain in the ass job moving the lights and or plants around every single day. I would get dedicated lights for your grow needs if your interested in growing. I think you will be much successful that way.

I've had bad luck with Clonex rooting gel. If you can find some I would suggest switching to a rooting powder. I use Hormex no.1.
