RIP to the NYC Diesel. We were just having to many problems with it. It's flower growth had just completely stopped. It was constantly a fight of to much or to little nutes. Then to top it all off, the bud rot came back for like the 3rd time. So we said fuck it, and cut the plant and our losses...

I always liked doing sativas outside in Texas. I'd start everything inside and not plant outside till it starts to cool down. I'm not sure what part you live in but I used to wait till mid-late July. It gets so damn hot. But good thing it stays warm so late. Had plants going in December there...

So we had another Afghani Kush seedling going and just moved it into its DWC bucket today. Got a 250W MH so got that set-up in the veg/clone cabinent. Clones are doing good, the older ones are doing great and the younger ones are starting to get their feet under them. Ordered some beans...

In my opinion if you have to harvest early for some reason and doesn't look finished enough to be good smoke I'd turn it into hash. That's what I've done before with plants I had to take to early. It's not the best either, but better than leafy, harsh bud. That's my opinion at least.
