Trichomes and your thoughts - is it legit?

Would love to see those golf balls….I never get tired of looking at good buds growing.

    Would u chop or wait??

I don’t mean to go off topic but I’ve been thinking recently about the cannabis industry and how companies are marketing their products. In the simplest of terms, a plant that grows from seed to harvest in 8-10 weeks is light years more profitable than the same plant requiring 12-14 weeks...

    Would u chop or wait??

Read my post. Typically buds that aren’t ripe don’t degrade to any degree. Often times you’ll see buds with lots of new white pistils being generated that have a good population of milky trichs. Those trichs can and will stay milky until the bud finishes ripening. I’ve said many times that...

    Would u chop or wait??

I’m growing a plant that is kicking off those thick “foxtail” type calyces, just like yours. They puke out super thick white pistils (or stigmata, whatever), just like I see with yours. Allowing those to finish will not only allow your trichs to mature but will also add some heft to the buds...

    Foxtaling

Technically yes the buds are foxtailing but it’s important to understand and distinguish between good foxtailing and bad foxtailing. Bad “ft” is caused by heat stress and results in calyces stacking up, sometimes perfectly on top of one another……it also can be accompanied by very loose airy...

2 plants look like zinc deficiency (help)

You are flushing soil that is amended w/ organic nutrients and measuring runoff is not something that’s going to do anything but make you wanna give up growing. For starters those readings are ridiculously high but they are misleading. The organic nutes are present but, since they are organic...

    Humidity Problems

I also have a humidity issue but mine is too low…I have to run 3 different 1.5 gal humidifiers inside my grow room (which is only 2.5’ X 6’) just to get the rh up above 50%. One of my biggest issues is my exhaust fan. It’s a 6” Hurricane and really sucks the airflow in and out…mainly out...

    What should I do??

Hey thanks for mentioning it….you’re the second person that’s warned me to be on the lookout. I’m trying to give them a good looking over daily and looking at those dying leaves. There are several things going with them. Some are getting crispy on the edges and slowly fading out or dying...

    What should I do??

Even though it’s an auto? I didn’t think they responded to that type of manipulation?? For record I did it anyway about 2 weeks ago…I cut it from 18/6 to 16/8. You think it may trigger something??

Trichomes and your thoughts - is it legit?

I cut my teeth growing outdoors 25 yrs ago. My luck far exceeded my skills at the time but I’d rather be lucky than good. Anyway, I’m not sure I knew what a trichome was back then. The old timer that taught me the outdoor grow def didn’t know and he damned sure didn’t carry around a jewelers...

    What should I do??

I’m in week 15 since sprout…..they are close. Still some pistils shooting out here and there. I scoped them last night and had to look hard for 30 min before I found the first amber.

    What should I do??

Here are two pics of the one that is the furthest behind…..that pic is a couple days old but she’s had those long white hairs for a while. It seems like the calyces didn’t (or haven’t ) swell up like the others. If you look at the buds up close they look like a birds nest with thick hairs but...

    What should I do??

Ok great. 2 of the 3 plants aren’t looking half bad….other than the leaves dying off rapidly. The 3rd plant is the slow poke. She’s had the same stringy hairs showing for several weeks. Her leaves are probably the worst of the 3. First I’ll show you the two that are in decent shape and...

    What should I do??

I am really sorry to worry the piss out of you over my modest little harvest….but maybe someday I can make it up to ya. Here’s the latest: Things keep gettin more and more strange. Late last week i mini flushed w/ water and a small amount of this flushing agent…can’t remember the name but it’s...

    Im confused

Believe it or not those buds will swell up noticeably more in the next two weeks…..forget about trichomes for a moment and let the bud get ripe……you’ll get more yield and it will be much better smoke. I have some autos that have had mostly milky trichs for the last 3 weeks….but the buds are...

    Harvest time or not

You haven’t seen my pics yet…I have a golden retriever and her hair ends up on everything, buds included. She doesn’t come into the room but her hair winds up stacking up. I was spending too much time with tweezers and a magnifying glass plucking and picking. Finally i realized I was doing...

    Harvest time or not

Just so u know, I’m on my first indoor grow….but I grew some multi-lb harvests outdoors years ago. So I am familiar with qualifying a bud for ripeness. That said, I think she needs to go a bit longer. I see a fair number of fresh white pistils poppin and I’d never harvest when that’s...

    Budding problems

My goodness those buds look great….another week or two and she should be ripe. I’m growing 3 autos right now…..breeder says 9-10 weeks seed to harvest and today is day 100 since sprout..:..they’ll need another 10 days probably as well. Pay no attention to those timelines. The main thing is...

    What should I do??

I looked back and actually flushed the one plant twice…..first tray was 1500 and I flushed it again and it lowered to 820ppm….the tap water is 140. How low do I wanna flush to?? My full feedings were only around 1000 and I lowered it to the 400s on the last couple.

    What should I do??

I know I know…..I am apparently a self destructive grower. What would your move be if they were your plants?? If you look back to the first question of this thread, you’ll see that (about a month ago) the plants were underfed and hungry. Well Over the next two weeks I fed them moderate...
