depends on the number (and type of) of cobs and boards you use. they are the same phosphor white tech and either can achieve same efficiency levels when run soft

does your vero18 have the two notches like in this drawing? they should work with the 35mm spacing on the 133mm heatsinks for clu048

    Frost game on point......

it will be fine. while there are better options for cob models right now, all cobs are more similar to each other than they are to other techs. quality of light is the same, but its just a notch down from the current standards of efficiency just dont buy any more, check back here to see whats...

New newie got 1800W COB LED’s needs advice

i have to agree. his profit margin is prob so obscene on those garbage lights that hed rather sell 3 or 4 or 5 for $1300 than give back the $1300. and anybody who would recommend 80 lm/W CFLs in 2018 knows absolutely nothing about lighting and surely shouldnt be relied upon for advice. not...

Does the new Perfect Sun beat QB Boards for a 1000 Watt HPS replacement?

lol at 35 minutes when he thinks the competition is reverse engineering his spectrum he still doesnt present an actual PPF for any of his fixtures calls corners of a 4x4 where PAR is 250 usable grow area vid is almost at the level of where he was astonishing himself with "oohmoles" from his...

What do you think of this configuration with citizen cobs?

54B would be a safer driver as it would limit the voltage to 54V in case only one cob was connected i dont understand this translation (though it sounds beautiful!)

2x4 = 8 square feet 8 square feet x 35 W/SF = 280W of stuff i have on hand several drivers can get you there 2 x hlg185-36A (youd be using 75% capacity on each driver) 2 x hlg185-c1400b (again dimmed to 75% capacity, with room to turn up) 2 x hlg185-c1050b (using about 80% of driver with roo on...

New newie got 1800W COB LED’s needs advice

there was a post awhile back that showed measurable reduction of umol/J when HIDs are dimmed. i want to say 5-15% or so

    phosphor, how does it work?

you def got it, just worth emphasing for noobs that just because lumen number goes down doesnt mean the new color created is outside of the PAR range we want, and in most cases its in a more usable red or blue wavelength
  18. CobKits

New newie got 1800W COB LED’s needs advice

smaller HIDs are less efficient, as is dimming HIDs
