Coots style soil with smaller containers(5G to 7G)

Where is the SIP thread? What is it about SIP that you like? I have already invested in a big reservoir with pumps, water halos and a water wand that works pretty well with my setup

Coots style soil with smaller containers(5G to 7G)

Did you do the straight Coots mix(outside of the Dr. earth?) Did you amend before you planted?

I have not. This is my first grow in a while.

Coots style soil with smaller containers(5G to 7G)

Hm, I hadn't thought about that. I'm not sure exactly how tall the 7G fabrics I am using are. Where do you look for big tubs like that? I have a couple of things on the floor(small heater and small fan) that wouldn't have anywhere to to unless I put them on a board or something on the soil.

Coots style soil with smaller containers(5G to 7G)

As I make the jump from amended bag soil to something a bit more homemade, I am getting excited about putting together a Coots style mix. In the requisite reading up on usage and stuff I found a few people saying that the mix didn't perform as well in smaller containers. I am in a 3x3 tent, so...

    Need a good heater

My lung room heating is an oil filled radiator. I find that to be the most consistent heat. I keep it on the 600W switch and adjust the thermostat to get an ambient temp in the room of around 65. My tent then is about 72-78F. I also have an electric wall heater but i found it to be too up and...

    Need a good heater

I have the same size tent. I use a small heater in the tent and then a bigger heater in the lung room. That way I have a baseline temp and then am able to hook my heater up to a thermo/humidistat https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I4UVGHO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

best way to deal with very healthy plant during Scrog flip

I have read quite a bit about different techniques from nothing to almost compltely stripping. Do you mostly remove lower fan leaves? I did a light under trimming, took some clones, etc, but didn't do too much

best way to deal with very healthy plant during Scrog flip

I'm super happy with how my plants have responded to some love and attention, greatly aided by the community here--thanks! I flipped them about a week ago. There are on a double layer scrog. Underneath 2 200W LED's. I was using a 400W HPS but was gonna run out of room. In any case, I did my...

Low calcium well water in organic grows

I will definitely look into this as I put my next soil together. It’s a lot of stuff to learn, especially with so many different routes and opinions. I appreciate the info

Organic grow with start of calcium deficiency?

Any thoughts on what might be going on? Does this look like a calcium deficiency?

Organic grow with start of calcium deficiency?

That all sounds good and like a good plan moving forward. I’m not saying it couldn’t be the calmag because I’m pretty new to much of this info. It seems unlikely because my calcium level is so low in my water and with the added calmag I’m still quite a bit lower than average water that people...

Organic grow with start of calcium deficiency?

Thanks. My plan is to only use water. I haven’t been ph’ing lately, but still measuring to see what is happening to the water through the soil. The one plant is in a different soil and seems like the ph maybe a bit higher. It’s also a G13 strain and they are notorious for being nute hungry

Organic grow with start of calcium deficiency?

The weird thing is that this started a couple of days ago, and the only changes were the top dress and the water with no ph or calmag. Also, this plants runoff is way higher than the other 2. It is around 6.9. The other 2 are 6.2-6.3

Organic grow with start of calcium deficiency?

I have been learning the "road to organic". When i started the grow i was unsure of what the ropes were, and have been learning quite a bit! The calmag is not organic, but I'm gonna finish it and then switch over. Similarly, I was PH'ing my water until i learned that it wasn't necessary with a...

To flip or not to flip.. that is the question..

I actually haven't topped them. A lot of training around the lower scrog. Kind of hard to see from the angle, but the plant in back is a bit taller. I was considering topping that one to even out the canopy. This is my first indoor grow in a long time, and first in a tent, so I'm a bit unsure of...
