    Effects of defoliation during flowering

Day before I flip and day 21. Yeh to do a proper side by side with only defol in week 1 vs wk1 and 3. Havnt had any success with removing sugar leaves though , and finishing time won't change, but bud development will. They will finish with smaller buds. I'm starting to think it's really strain...

Are these nodes/buds too far apart?

I'll bite, lower your lights, increase light intensity on the plants. Make sure your light quality is high and not some blurple or cfl you will struggle with yield otherwise. Check your spectrum lower k overall tend to stretch aswell

Too much light or too little light?

Those 5w diodes are the devil. Way overkill. Move it much further away they don't need the light. Start from far away and move it in when you notice the stretch has stopped, that will give you a good gauge for your future runs. Otherwise put it at 30" on the veg switch until it pops more leaves

Looking to get a pound per harvest.

If your going incognito in your garage I would not be using a hps that requires high cfm extraction fans and lots of internal fan movement. Try a proper led, not a blurple or mars hydro type that have loud fans in the fixture. A qb or led strips will best suit they dont need much air movement on...

    HLG 260W vs KindLED K3L600

Well if you imagine there is more material and extrusion, cabling and board space involved in the strips, hence their cost. Their performance is equally weighted with the price. In my experience the strips outperform the qb boards to the upset of all the qb fans out there is simply the truth...

    6.5fX4.5ft tent setup

In series. So the last bulb gets the most heat from the other 2, still hasn't affected the bulb in anyway. The prefilter is important to make sure no leaf matter or bugs or foliar spray gets sucked in and lands on the bulb.

Spider Farmer SF 2000 Dimming Update

I assume you connect a dimmer to each driver. And the dimmers talk to each other via the rj45 to make 1 the master. Therefore the resistance value doesn't change per driver-dimmer connection it stays at 0-100k ohm

    6.5fX4.5ft tent setup

Depends on the cfm of the fan I would say. Aslong As your removing your tent volume quick enough it shouldn't have time to heat up to critical levels with the 75F intake. My friend has 3 600s in cool tubes on a 6 inch exhaust with 2 inline filters one in the tent and the other towards the end...

    HLG 260W vs KindLED K3L600

Regarding blurples I wouldn't buy one, but I have done side by sides. Same grow room same strain same nutes, the blurple was a viparspectra, also had a mars hydro blurple with more white leds than the average purple you see. On the other side of a divider was 3500k samsung strips. Blurples...

    6 X 6 how to get 3lbs

I'll just say 1 thing, put a filter on your intake, being next to trees you may attract pests, which in an outdoor shed will be a nightmare to get rid of.

    Latest and greatest LEDs???

They say out of stock, I doubt they will be bringing it back into stock. They use old chips I wouldn't be buying 561 diodes unless they were on a super special sale. It must be in the process of being superseded Secondly are you running co2? If not don't bother with the par intensity of this...

Only feeding Nutes once and awhile

If it's the common miracle gro potting soil with npk values of 21-7-14 and state 3 month feeding, that's probably your problem. It's still feeding the high level of nitrogen even though your now in bloom. And your right about the 1/4 feeding it's a good starting point And keep increasing until...

    Measuring ppf

Just a basic one i had lying around. Says it only goes up to 50,000 lux but I don't see it even coming close to topping out at that

    Measuring ppf

Completing this f series build I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the output numbers. Thought it would be higher. 40-50k lux puts it 3-4 inches from the leds. Using that calculator to convert 42000 lumens to 800 par doesn't give any helpful information other than the light will give 800...

    Measuring ppf

Is that a side by side experiment you got there? I'm just wondering if lux is anything to go by when looking for a specific par reading? I'm making another light fixture now, just in the process of ordering the strips. Thinking 6 of the 4' strips to a hlg 320...thrown in a 2' x 4' frame. Give...

    Measuring ppf

Hi guys I've built myself a 2 x 4 frame with 4 x 4ft f series single row strips running off a elg240 48b driver. The online calc puts me in at 42000 lumens, using the conversion factor of 69, to 800 par. Used the led build guide on led gardeners website. Now, using my el cheapo ebay lux...
