    og or kush

But yes the names are completely f***ked for these plants, and cause a lot of confusion. It gets even more confusing when you throw "headband" into the mix. Some headbands are OG's and others are chem crosses, and no one seems to know the true backstories.

    og or kush

OG refers to a group of cuts and S1's and probably some F1's that originate from the late 80's/early 90's and were prolific in Southern California. "OG Kush" became a widely used misnomer for these plants. Nobody really knows the origins of OG, so the "Kush" part likely got added because it...

ah yeah, never tried that one, nor did i snag a pack, but from what I've seen she's a really good one too. people seem to rave about her

    Unlurking - Vintage Blueberry

She has a unique look, I think that's cool. Looks like she needs some dialing-in too. Would be interesting to lock her down and see what she's capable of. I think there's a lot of untapped potential out there crossing old school indicas/afghans with modern/cookies type strains.

Genetic mutant the next “HASH PLANT”??

I've had similar plants, high leaf to calyx ratio like that, and super frosty. If it presses well/makes good hash for you than that's cool and maybe she's a keeper for you. Personally I'd pass on her because of that thatched, leafy structure.

    CSI humboldt thread

If you want good odds for a potent effect, I'd go with something that has Chem in it. Big Bad Wolf would be my top CSI choice for that.

    worst strains

Well there are lots of great cuts held on the west coast, and all over the US for that matter. If you want seeds with those genetics, it's more a matter of finding a breeder who's working with the legit cut or a good cut of whatever it is. It takes a little research. For example, just googling...

    High & Lonesome Seeds

Hell yeah Im stoked for that one too. I picked up the ChemD/MH, and the A5/MH from the Mango Haze release, and got the Angelband freebie from jbc. Helluva score for 100 bones.

    Humboldt Seed Company (HSC) Thread

I don't think they're any better/worse than most other big seed makers. They all have their zingers and duds. I've never grown any of their strains, so I don't want to offer an opinion there. I will say the testing seems questionable at best, non-existent at worst, but the real thing I don't...

    TRUMP CONVICTED

The risk is a further weakening of our legal and electoral systems. I 100% acknowledge that Trump had more than contributed his fair share to the erosion of civic faith in this country. On that count he is without question guilty in my mind. I’m talking about the further escalation here during...

    TRUMP CONVICTED

The whole thing leaves me a little conflicted. On one hand, I strongly believe that no one is above the law. On the other hand, I worry the precedence set here could snowball. Not the litigiousness of it (they've always taken pleasure in dragging each other through the mud by filing suits on a...

    TRUMP CONVICTED

What I did find hilarious about his press conference was his wavering descriptions of his "not to be named previous attorney." Cohen went from "legit at the time", to "sleazeball", then to merely "adequate". You'd think Trump could afford better legal representation lol.

    TRUMP CONVICTED

To be fair, most of those clips of his press conference were heavily edited. In its entirety, it was just the same talking points we've been hearing for the past year. Hopefully space aliens make their presence formally known and save us from this upcoming election.

    Computer Thread

XP was fine, but I didn't have any issues with 7, 8, or 10 either. I did skip Vista though. 11 is fine, but I just don't feel like going through the hassle of upgrading then fixing/removing all the UI changes back so it looks like 10 again. There's no compelling reason for me to update at the...

    Lots of questions...

All good points. And while many are getting out, many that are still in are moving product out the back door and onto the black market just to stay afloat.

    Lots of questions...

You're asking a lot of questions and assuming they have "one size fits all" answers when they really don't, i.e. different specimens are going to have different requirements. You'll also have different answers depending on your grow methods and ultimately the goals you're trying to achieve (max...

    Choosing a rosin press

It's definitely not a perfect science. I don't always get amazing returns either. I don't weigh anything so I don't know how much I stuff. I use 2x4 bags too, and after I've "pinched" the bottom corners for bottle tech, I basically press the material with my thumbs, not too hard, but to just...

I'm new to mainlining and taking cuttings...

You can take cuts whenever. I take pretty small cuts because I have a lot of different small mothers. Often times I'll take a cut as soon as there's enough stem to do so, then mama goes into the trash bin. Taking cuts isn't going to slow anything down. It's just a matter of can you take a cut or...

    Choosing a rosin press

Excessive pressure could be it too. Too much heat and/or pressure gives you lower-grade returns anyway, ofc you know that. If you don't have a pressure guage, it's hard to tell how much you're applying. Fwiw, my presses are always between 2-3 tons. That's really the sweet spot.
