    Amazon ROCKS! (for today anyway!)

The reason I ask is because I bought a Hydro Hut years ago....works fine...mainly because I take meticulous care of it...but the stitching is shit and the zippers can stick and snag -not the highest quality. I don't think they are in business anymore so its a moot point, but I liked the design...

running out of height in tent

Seems like the best solution is to get another tent or move the plants to a larger space...which probably isn't available since you're already using a tent that's maxed out! I don't think you're going to have room at all in the near future! And trust me, if there are any pests/eggs in the soil...

    Amazon ROCKS! (for today anyway!)

How does the stitching look along the zipper lines and how is the quality of the zippers?

Lets see your seed storage/hoarding vaults!

This thread breaks my heart because back in the 70's, I had a half gallon jar that was full of all kinds of landrace seeds,,,Oaxacan, Columbian, Acapulco Gold, Panama Red...maybe even a Thai seed or two...All of them got thrown out because back then if you got caught with something like that, it...

    200 tops

I don't understand why you would even want to try for 200 in a 4 X 4. You're going to have to install a jet engine to get enough air circulation through the canopy when everything starts swelling up. And any pathogen that might come along is going to spread everywhere. It just seems like a big...

Thrips or fungus gnats. Or what ???

yep...I'd say thrips. Are you seeing any evidence of leaf damage?

Thrips or fungus gnats. Or what ???

Pretty blurry pics, but the body shape kinda looks like thrips.

Lung Cancer: Marijuana a risk factor or treatment option

People who live outdoors and sit by the campfire on a regular basis, inhale a bunch of smoke particulates, too. But then they are also usually people who hike in the fresh air, as well. People who work in stores or factories around fabrics, also inhale a bunch of particulates....and the list...

Adding Emerson Effect to a strip light

I'm confused as to how the Emerson effect can be quantified into a formula that applies to all the different strains of marijuana that are out there today. For example: Some plants are purple because they have higher anthocyanin levels than they do chlorophyll. So (depending on the spectrum)...

The new QB 648 Diablo from Horticulture Lighting Group

Just wait a few months until the next improvement happens and then all these lights will go on sale...But the problem is that you might want the new one....and then.....well, you get the idea! I think HLG should build a square-shaped board for the 3 X 3 tent grower and use all the currently...

    Why is defoliation so controversial?

I'm convinced that there is a part of ripening that the plant goes through which involves the leaves. I don't have the scientific studies to back me up, but there must be a functional design to the question of why a plant exhausts the chlorophyll in the leaves before it drops them. I don't...

How far can "ripeness" be pushed?

Okay, okay...But I still really need some comments about just how far a plant can be ripened before it starts to degrade to the point of not being any good. The reason I am curious is because I've never seen a thread about plants that are "over"-ripe. And most of the pics, (as awesome as many of...

cloning - is Superthrive a good rooting hormone?

I use Super Thrive all through seedling and veg stages...very diluted...2 drops per gallon of water/fert. When the plants show preflowers, I stop using it. I've never heard of it being used for rooting.

How far can "ripeness" be pushed?

Yes, it would. But I fear that it would be like having too many cooks in the kitchen unless all the growers were family-related! Eventually, one expert would disagree with the other expert and...well....

How far can "ripeness" be pushed?

I've seen this, too. I think some of the buds get so shaken around by the time they get to market, most of the trich heads are gone. Those buds can appear frosty at a glance because the stems of the trichs are still attached to the leaves...but no heads on them!

    Pollinating Feminized Plant

LOL! I used to love Portland. It used to be such a beautiful city. Now it looks like Haiti.

How far can "ripeness" be pushed?

Yes, and this is why people might need to wait 20 weeks to get them truly ripe. But I think it's kind of a shame that the industry doesn't do that with their Sativa. In fact, I wonder if that's the reason why Sativa are now perceived as "up" or "energetic" types of highs. I mean, I smoked...

How far can "ripeness" be pushed?

My understanding has always been that the flowers are at their peak ripeness when the trichomes become milky with about 20% of them turning amber. But when did this become the common ideal? I'm pretty old and been growing off and on (mostly with no idea what I was doing, tbh) since the mid...
