    H2O2 wash/Fresh water wash

I'd definitely consider washing IF I was growing outdoors. But, my indoor conditions are almost like a medical surgery room!

    Which approach will win?

Yeah I guess you're right but lighting seems to far outweigh any other electronic device associated with growing marijuana. Things like exhaust fans and Variacs just don't seem to matter as much as lighting...and most don't cost nearly as much to invest in....for the small grow op/personal use...

    Which approach will win?

None because I don't own any (yet). The question was hypothetical.

    Which approach will win?

Seems to be two schools of thought out there at the moment. A: You buy a budget-priced Chinese knockoff light and dispose of it in a couple years. Buy another new budget light when the old one becomes outdated. B: You spend a high amount of money for the "best" light with the highest...

What are the chances my net is causing this?

Yeah, it looks like physical damage to me...and likely caused by the string net. Just keep an eye on that one leaf and if it's fine after a week, then you're good.

    Root Aphids?

@paparov Yeah I agree. It will kill the beneficials in the organic living soil. But, in my case, the bugs were doing more damage than the beneficials were able to overcome. So, as a "Hail Mary", I used the H2O2. It worked to kill the bugs and the plants started to yellow a bit in response to...

What’s going on here? Just transplanted into 5 gallon pot a few days ago. I moved light up thinking it was getting too much. Not sure any advice?

Yeah that soil with the wood chips and fert balls in it....not good. Likely pH is very low -especially if it's orchid mix.

    Timber Owners Group.

I guess I have to chime in on this thread since I was one of the early guinea pigs for testing out some of the lights that Dan and his crew were putting together BEFORE they became Timber. My light is lovingly known as "Frank The Tank" and it was a monster in its day. I would love nothing more...

    Why is defoliation so controversial?

Has anyone ever grown a strain that produces very few fan leaves and almost all buds?

    Why is defoliation so controversial?

This is correct. I have never done any of that. I have seen really leafy strains but I guess I just never thought anything special about them as they never applied to me. As I recall, most of those really leafy ones were auto flowering strains and I am not interested in those because there is a...

    Why is defoliation so controversial?

I've got a Gorilla Glue #4 plant (from a bag seed) that is in week 7 of flower and it's pretty much all bud and hardly any leaves. It just grew that way. It would be silly to defoliate it. The other plant I'm growing is a Sativa-heavy hybrid and so the leaves are thinner and the colas are...

Can a finished plant be re-vegged from its stump?

Well, at this point the bottom foliage consists of a few quickly-yellowing fan leaves and some "knob-like" buds. This strain (Gorilla Glue) is mostly just knobs of clustered-buds and very little foliage to accompany them. Thanks for the responses. I figured I was SOL on this one, but it never...

    Why is defoliation so controversial?

In retrospect, I can see that some plants/grows might benefit from removing leaves to expose bud site -like if it's a really leafy strain or when the lighting isn't sufficient. But in my small grows, it's never been necessary because I don't have a crowd of plants and I can provide all the light...

Can a finished plant be re-vegged from its stump?

I always cut clones whenever grow a new strain -just in case. However, this time, I had an overheating problem in the clone chamber and lost all of the clones from one particular plant. The plant I cut the clones from is in week #7 of flower and has been lolipopped. It's looking like a really...

    Root Aphids?

What worked for me: Place some pieces of brown paper (like from a grocery bag) that have been soaked in water on top of the soil. Soil-based bugs seem to like it and start crawling on it after several hours. After a day, take note of the number of bugs that are on the paper and then discard the...

Which press to get for first time?

When I got set up years ago, there weren't the options. I got a Low Temp Plates set (the one with the springs) and a Dake 10-ton press. But it takes up a lot of room and it's pretty heavy. It works great. Now there are these "NugSmasher" all-in-one types of machines that are small enough to fit...
