pollenating with a pencil ..and some pistil resin :)

Did use a brush but I'm oddly finding this method works best for me (in stopping any accidental pollination). Thought I'd post this random info - Take one Staedtler HB pencil (red tip). ok, another pencil manufacturer if you must ;-) Touch the red tipped end of the pencil on the pistils of a...

Malawi x Panama, Strawberry Cream, Strawberry Banana - opinions?

for the record; I've now grown out an MxP and a Strawberry Cream plant. Both were easy grows (indoor, 12ltr pots, coco, cheap 2014 Chinese cob light) and yielded well considering I kept them under 30in. The MxP yielded less due to stunted growth (I added bio-silicon too early in grow with this...

    What strain do you use?

nl5 x Haze (sensi seeds) - when I grew that it gave 1.5/2oz from rooted clone in 12/12. fyi - It was a strain recommended to me for this purpose (longer flower time however).

'My' method of simple drying/curing (going forwards) will be this

I've been interested in adding vacuum sealed drying (as I have a vacuum sealer) but I heard mixed thoughts on it. I had experimented with using vacuuming to help draw moisture out of the centre of buds. Although I haven't used a vacuum for the whole drying phase. I thought you needed some air...

'My' method of simple drying/curing (going forwards) will be this

nope, only under my own microscope and 3 decades of smoking (and trips to 'the dam') etc experience ..for whatever that counts for ;) No mold (the fully dried trim seems to draw moisture away at a rate conducive with no mold), plus the whole caboodle is inside a large brown paper bag (which also...

advanced nutrients solution ph won't come down (urgent)

fyi - when I used AN in the past, it was the 2 part AN Sensi grow and bloom I used (in soil). For the record; all the AN 'additives' I've ever used in the past didn't effect the PH at all (voodoo juice, b52, carboload, calmag, revive, bud blood, bud ignitor, bud factorX, big bud and over...

advanced nutrients solution ph won't come down (urgent)

agree with previous post. No need to PH water before using AN ph perfect range of nutes (it will upset the nutes internal ph-ing). fyi - my tap water ph is 7.8 too and I've used AN ph perfect with success in the past (in soil). Make sure to stir/agitate water well to mix ph-perfect 2 part...

'My' method of simple drying/curing (going forwards) will be this

Nice advise on leaving buds to dry on the plant. I've left all the popcorn bud on one of my scrog plants and I'll just leave it to dry 'on the vine' (the plant pot is already dry anyway). I figured it was a region/season thang. This method works for me in the uk, so far (only tested in warmer...

'My' method of simple drying/curing (going forwards) will be this

Used hanging and Boveda packs (great for humidity). I just seemed to get mixed results with the initial drying and curing.(in my local). However, switching to the method I mentioned seems to have fixed all the issues (and made the process simpler then the ones I used). Just me I guess :)...

'My' method of simple drying/curing (going forwards) will be this

ok a little story, so I live in the south of the UK and have used many varied methods over the years for drying/curing. The 'standard' method (shown on many sites) worked but is quite labour intensive (leading to inconsistency, for me). Over the years, I began to find that buds in my old...

A cheap dust and particle filter for my 4" air intakes :)

Wanted a 'home' item I could use as a filter for my intake pipes. Looking around my tool shed, I saw a pack of P1 face masks (used to block particles while polishing, grinding etc) ..and a roll of duct tape :) Inspiration hit me, so (as you do) I grabbed a couple of the masks and duct taped...

    Best problem in the world!!!!!

Netting, using stakes are classic methods. If its only a few branches (and you have a sturdy main stem), you could try using a length of paracord to tie the branch to the main stem (so you are using the stem to help bear some of the weight of the branch). Loop the cord around the main stem (a...
