    Led wire thickness

https://pcbtoolbox.net/wire-gauge-information/ do the math, dont know the lenghs. f.e. 10A on 1 feet is a dif. of about 1W for AWG14 to AWG18, ampere are the limiting factor.

    Led wire thickness

for the slims? i used 0.75mm2 solid core, its a tight fit, works well just hard to remove the cable. thats a little thinner then AWG18, which is 0.82mm2. so, AWG18 or 20 solid core and see what you like best. for the slim datasheet say 18 max, dont try 14.

Bridelux Thrive - Finally an LED Spectrum worth a Sh⇧T!!

inventronics are very good, but have the drawback that you need their programming box. also with the release of the AB meanwells and their overall lineup i dont see the sense for us, but would need to compare for each case. how you power the LDD drivers?

Bridelux Thrive - Finally an LED Spectrum worth a Sh⇧T!!

thinking of it, there is also a hlg 42v version, which may work may not. the AB types may do by pushing the Vo to the max, make it basically a regular 42V power supply this way if i am right, above the CC region. this would be prob the only way to max out the driver, but maybe the plan dont work...

Bridelux Thrive - Finally an LED Spectrum worth a Sh⇧T!!

btw. youre right that there arent tons of driver options, basically just the 48V and the above mentioned plus maybe the low voltage xlg 240, maybe one else find more options. ive thought its more, but well as long there are options. i just realised that bridgelux is giving voltages for hot and...

Bridelux Thrive - Finally an LED Spectrum worth a Sh⇧T!!

the more is driven in parallel the higher the risk of a thermal runaway, theoretically. practically its all less of a concern. the strips, boards, all, themself use a mix of parallel and series allready, youre doing nothing else by your wiring. there is no real sensefull way to drive a few...

Bridelux Thrive - Finally an LED Spectrum worth a Sh⇧T!!

could imagine a HLG-320H-C3500AB do the trick. its max is 91V so we can use 2 in series and this 4 times in parallel with a max of 875mA each strip then. a 320W driver with 48V do of course work in any case, you just need to wire all strips in parallel. depends really on you and where you see a...

good point midnightsun, would be my max prob too, you have some clever setup there. what wattage are you aiming for? on the quick i prob would go with 2 or 4 in series depending on the needed wattage and avaiability of the drivers. youre saying 2x4 right? so 8 square feet. i have no feeling...

Bridelux Thrive - Finally an LED Spectrum worth a Sh⇧T!!

yep, as far i see this could make sense. otherwise decide for how many you want to put in series and say. its really up to you, depends a bit on your wiring.

the usual 48V meanwells arent a bad fit for your 4 feet strips. at 700mA f.e. you will be in the CC region at 43.7V. with 8 strips this would be ca. 270W, so may check out a 320W 48V. if you want to drive them harder then the next bigger one 480W pushing you above 1A each strip, ca. 1.3A, that...

Calculate Maximum LED Chips For This Driver

like grotbags is saying, there is no limit to the bottom, driving lower, or almost no limit. ill bet they will light up with a milliamp, at least i never encountered a problem even below 20mA a white led. most signal leds these days are a milliamp or lower. so practically i think its hard to...

Calculate Maximum LED Chips For This Driver

yes the board will ad some resistance but thats negligible for us, no datasheet will know the resistance in the end application . the datasheet is really a bit strange, maybe 65mA and 150mA switched its postions by mistake here. ?. idk, but you can calc almost all white leds with about 3V to...

Calculate Maximum LED Chips For This Driver

if you want to drive them with the stated 65mA and your driver does 56V max its 18 leds in series and 160 in parallel when your driver is 10.4A. 120 lumen a watt isnt that great, i think you can have better strips for just a dollar from arrow. tbc, 160 leds each led which is in series.

was my thought also when i saw it. good job on the 5 strains keeping them all equal, looking nice and healthy.

Stunted cannabis, need advice, suggestions and a diagnosis for my ladies plz

the 75W "grow light" is a normal light bulb tech with a filter. had been my first grow light too in the 90s. i remember these as quite useless, really not good. would explain the 12 lumen per watt also. the CFLs arent great either, best are your led bulbs. see how much lumen they put out and go...

Stunted cannabis, need advice, suggestions and a diagnosis for my ladies plz

wait, what you want to look for is lumen per watt, watt itself is a senseless measure. its very easy. take the lamp with the higher lumen rating. your 15W 1600lm have 106 lumen per watt. your 75W 950lm have 12 lumen per watt, btw is it a LED light ?? worst ive ever seen. of course watt and...

did scrogged a plant in a 7 gallon fabric bag with potting soil in my 3x3 (86x86cm). running a 150W leds atm, the first net is full more or less, going to install a second one soon.

    modular overkill led striplight build

the gelato in soil is doing well, stressfree grow. getting a 150W 3000k and 660nm red (plus a little 365nm UVA), giving about 600ppfd at the tops in this 86x86cm tent. the do sweet dos are ok also, could have done better with the nutrients. prob overfed them a bit, runoff quite a bit over EC2...
