What if you found out your purpose in life was meaningless?

It's kinda bleak....but it's only bleak when I think about it. ;) And after death, everything that made thinking possible will disintegrate, anyway, so there won't be anything left with which to feel things. Maybe if there is some unmeasurable aura to us....THEN maybe it will become part of...

Grandmaster Level - HLG Quantum Boards vs 1000w HPS side by side (youtube)

All name-calling and otherwise insulting and provocative speech aside, I agree that this thread has been hijacked and a separate thread regarding the "other" competition should be made.

    Life isn't fair

As humans we are supposed;y at the "top" of the evolutionary chain -suggesting that we are superior...and yet, most people can't live outdoors, on their own.

Everything changes when growing is legal....

Back in the old days, most of the named strains had names that indicated where they originated: Acapulco Gold Maui Wowie Panama Red Oaxacan Columbian Jamaican Thai (stick)

    3500k vs 4000k vs 5000k ?

I used the Sylvania bulbs in my HydroFarm 400 watt MH fixture from the 80's....horizontal mount and no glass. The last replacement bulb I bought was last year....cost me $21 per bulb....not bad at all! I also grew under fluorescent tubes (in the distant past) as well as trying some reputable...

Bubble bag wash after dry ice extract?

I think the latest reason to use the dry ice method is for making rosin, isn't it? Just take the dry ice sift and put it into a 25 micron mesh bag and then press it. I'm not sure the ice/water-washing method would work...not sure how many intact heads you will get after all that agitation, for...

    3500k vs 4000k vs 5000k ?

Whatever the results are from a given spectrum, the plants growing under them will always render slightly different results on every grow -even the same, exact genetics. No one (outside of a huge, commercial grow-op) would even want to grow the same strain over and over and over again with no...

The difference between relative and real spectral power

Also...just FYI... Cats can also be used for phenotype hunting. Put the cat into your grow area with all your phenotypes. Close the door. Wait 10-15 minutes or so. Come back in and observe which plant the cat has chewed to pieces. Whichever plant that is, is your best phenotype. FACT. ;)

The difference between relative and real spectral power

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Get a cat. Put it in a room with several different types of grow lights. Close the door. Wait for 10-15 minutes or so. Come back in and observe which light the cat is sitting under. Whichever light it is will be the one that your plants will...

    Terpene Supplementation

New studies have shown that it's not just the terpenes that we need to get back into the weed, but also compounds called volatile esters. Check out Kevin Jodrey on YouTube. Personally, I have tried some of the reintroduced terpene products and they tasted like they were intentionally...

    Everything MMA Thread

This Tonon fight debut was impressive. He toyed with the opponent on the ground and made it a point to not submit him. Damn! Lightweight division, take notice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=Qc4AZGhG4Qw

Why would God act like such a troll?

As the story goes, God created the angels and after that, he created man (Adam). When he made Adam, he told the angels to bow to Adam. Satan was one of the angels and he didn't bow. God asked Satan why he didn't bow and Satan told God that since God made him from fire and Adam from dirt, that he...

STOP STRESSING (about your grow), GO SMOKE ONE, THEN READ THIS!

LOL...sounds familiar! When growing, I prefer to be spending as much time as possible with the plants during lights on. It's like the plants pull me in...like they want me there...and I want to be there, too! It works out fine because my wife likes time to herself to do her things and I'm not...

Tell me why Sativas are different than Indicas

Actually, cannabis ruderalis is something I will avoid. I tried a few autos and they all had an odd flavor that didn't appeal to me. Also, I just didn't get any enjoyment out of growing autos. I see their appeal for some people, but not for me. Kevin Jodrey in those videos above, has basically...

STOP STRESSING (about your grow), GO SMOKE ONE, THEN READ THIS!

Yes! This is exactly what I did when I started to get back into growing after many years. I found a rogue seed in a bag of TGA Vortex and just went for it. I couldn't believe all the choices for soil and all the growing stuff that was specifically designed for growing weed! That was something...

STOP STRESSING (about your grow), GO SMOKE ONE, THEN READ THIS!

Good advice, but I have to say that part of the process of learning all these "tricks of the trade" so-to-speak is having to go through some of these common mistakes and learn them first-hand. Growing weed is fairly simple and easy when you know what to do and what to look for. But a lot of...

Who remembers having to clean their bag of 80's weed?

I was smoking in the 70's. The bags were called "lids" and measured in the number of fingers high it was when it was rolled up in its sandwich bag (not the ziplock kind -the kind you licked) The ripeness of the weed was gauged by the ripeness of the seeds, so the weed was harvested when the...

That's beautiful, man. The guy obviously knows from experience. He nailed it. I wish him the best and hope that I can one day try and grow some of the old school skunk.
