    What would you do?

chems, og's, cookies... they all herm. BUT, they are cuts, not seed lines, so it's understandable making seeds with any of those cuts is going to show herm tendencies. Seed lines should be worked to minimize hermies (you can cull the hermies, but not rid the genetics 100% of them). This isn't...

    2023 A new beginning.

Looks good. Why are the genetics a secret?

    What would you do?

I can understand preserving haze, which is notorious for hermies from the thai side. There isn't really a choice there, but a durban poison cross? Doesn't matter to me if it's from obsoleet and it's rare now. I'm sure there's better durban offerings out there.

    What would you do?

Not all strains are worth preserving... like those with hermie tendencies. Seriously, there's no mega thread of heads trying to hunt down orange poison. Kill the hermies, grow the remaining 5 and see if you can find a decent, non-herming female. Otherwise, no, I don't think it's worth it to...

    Light schedule question

Breeder estimates are part of the confusion, and newer growers like to obsess over everything. Seems like this plant is taking forever to flower... (reality, it's been 6 days since they flipped) Hmmm the breeder said 56 days... this doesn't seem far enough along to me (scratches head) Maybe...

    Light schedule question

I always count from the flip date because like @pegboy said, it's always a concrete, set in stone date. When you happen to notice pistils or when you believe flowering 'started' based on your plant guru skills is up for debate. The day you flip to 12/12 is not. Doesn't really matter either way...

The Flower Mill: The easiest "Grinder" to use

I think one of the mods posted a pic a while back of their electric herb grinder. Looked awesome. Wish I could remember what it was called.

    Whats your favorite buzz?

I've tried every kind of extract, and still nothing gets me baked like smoking good flower. I'm with ya @VaSmile, a good sativa in the morning with the cup of coffee is my favorite buzz too. I've mostly stopped the wake n bake routine though. Trying to get back in shape, and I don't like working...

    High & Lonesome Seeds

Thank you for the kind words, and for these amazing freebies! The terps on that sappy one are insane. I'm hoping to get a nice fresh squish of her in the next couple days. Looks like all the others will be coming down over the next week-ish. We're at 70 days tomorrow.

70 days tomorrow. She's a tough one to judge. First time around I chopped at 70 and thought it was perfect. Here she is doing the same thing again at 70 days. Trichs are all cloudy, and she's showing ambers on mostly purple areas so to be expected. But she does purple up the last week or so...

Small Buds in week 6 (GDP)

It can be tough to find something that ticks all those boxes. Reality is, you gotta hunt a little, and grow out many plants, I don't care who the breeder is, not every seed from a pack is going to be stellar and check all those boxes. For all out bag appeal, I think Clearwater hits a lot of...

Small Buds in week 6 (GDP)

I've seen a lot of GDP grows over the years on the forums. There's a lot of variety, and GDP isn't exactly a cover model compared to more contemporary hype strains. It is often kinda leafy, with a lot of variation in the yield department. I think yours looks in line with expectations.

when you read a description of the effects of weed as euphoria anyone think that is not exactly an accurate description?

Sometimes when I try a strain I haven't smoked before (so no strain tolerance to it), I can get a sense of mild euphoria. To me it's that feeling of well-being and contentment, usually coupled with that mental state of clarity where you seem to be unraveling the mysteries of the universe. But it...

Skunk seeds just germinated from the mid 1980's - 35 years old!!!

No matter what they are, since they're that old, I would do an open pollination preservation. Remove any undesirables, and let the skeet fly.

So very new, any advice welcome!

You might want to get the roots submerged asap until the plant perks back up. Then play around with the water level until you're getting the clay pellets properly wet. Yes, somewhere around1-2" below the basket should be fine until the roots grow enough to hit the water.
