    Germination advice.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with all the ways to sprout. What matters is that it reliably works for you. Before my switch to the aerogarden the paper towel method worked very well. Sometimes it would dry out, sometimes I'd forget about them and the roots would penetrate the paper...

Something like this. I don't have any of the seedlings we're talking about.

Patience. IMO, the only thing wrong with the paper towel method is you need to move the seedling. As all the wise folks above have said, it's a bit dangerous and a lot can go wrong. That said, it was my preferred method prior to my getting an aerogarden. I just put the seed in the moss and...

Transplant shock from root damage, thoughts on using willow water to help recovery?

Willow water is up to you. But your plant will heal on it's own. As long as you didn't kill it, then it will rebound pretty quickly. I'm not sure how so much root damage happened from re-potting. But live and learn I guess. The leaf damage could be from badly hurting the roots during...

    Plants budding..now what..

I grow in soil, so I don't know if you can do this. Ouch! Your plants are certainly hurting. If that happened to me I would pull it out of the soil and transplant it into new and unaltered potting mix. Since you're not in soil, is that an option?

    Should I start again?

That brings a smile to my face. Keep takin' it easy going forward. It looks like you have a nice set up. Best of wishes my friend.

    Zinc deficiency? Burn? Or?

She probably could use a little bit more time, but I'd sneak one. LOL. Oh, and she is a beauty!

    Bud production

Kesaber, there are a whole lot of reasons to buy from a dispensary. This site is all about the reasons not to grow yourself. But good for you. I love it. I usually have two growing in soil at a time. I veg for about a month then flip it to flower. I do very little else. I only get about...

    Zinc deficiency? Burn? Or?

Here's a thought that should spark a lot of debate. I kinda think it's ready......Why not snip off that bud, cure it, and get a sneak peek at what's coming your way in the future? :weed:

Smart man! I think you've got a piece of gold there. Very good qualities.

Yellowing 2 wks after start of feeding?

IMO, it's time to re-pot. While they're still an OK size for their containers, it's possible most of the needed nutrients are gone from the soil after six weeks. Putting them in a bigger container will do three things. 1, give them brand new soil to enjoy. 2, make adding fertilizer safer...

Help! Deficiency? Nute Burn? Stress? (Pic)

Yep, transplanting can cause temporary problems. Watch the plant closely and if it gets worse, remove her from that soil. FFOF is hot to begin with, Happy Frog isn't as temperamental. If you're using FFOF and added nutrients you could have a problem on your hands.

    Curing Help

Hey NingaMaster, I frequently have the same problem. One way that works for me is to put the flowers in a shoe box, and then put the shoe box in a plastic bag grocery bag. I don't close the bag at all, and there is a hole in the side to let air circulate. Just not a lot of air gets to it. I...

Galaxy by Pyramid Seeds 2nd Grow

It looks like a nice set up, and it looks like you're enjoying doing it. Awesome. There's nothing wrong with CFLs, but I switched to regular LEDs a couple of years ago and will never go back. Less heat, less energy, and you can add more. I'm excited for you. Keep us posted on your progress!

What's The Biggest You Can Veg To?

Is your goal to get them as close to 80" from the floor as possible, without going over? It just depends on the plant. Since they're clones the original grower/supplier may be able to tell you how much they stretch. Otherwise, since you have two of each, you could start flowering one soon and...

    Prevent or reverse accidental pollination

If there are pistils, it can be pollinated. No one wants seeds in their stash, but worse things can happen. The pollen isn't all that viable after a couple of weeks, unless you care for it. Then it might last a few months (could be even longer). Water is pollen's nemesis. If you're really...

    Yellowing lower leaves

Without pictures it's very hard to say. We each see our ladies differently, and what you're describing are just symptoms. You're growing in soil, and good soil at that. Being a first grow, there is a very good chance you're over watering. The container should feel very light before you need...

    Start feeding

It looks nice and healthy. The soil was pretty hot when you planted, so 7 weeks is definitely within reason. You know your plants better than anyone else. If you think it's time, sure. Go ahead and start giving it more food. Since it's not showing problems, you don't need to make up for...
