It will help with keeping scents at bay though if connected to a good carbon filter and proper cfm amounts for negative pressure. The hard part is balancing all that air filtering out of your area while still keeping it cool with the ac.

I'm using high humidity dry wall coated in high latex bathroom high humidity resistant white paint. But had panda film up before and it worked well.
