    PAR measurement thread

Whatever useful information you feel you have to share is unlikely to be heard... cos you come across as a real arrogant douchebag. You might want to work on that if you want people to listen to you

All of the white COBs are "full spectrum" in so much as they produce some photons in every wavelength between 400nm and 700nm. With that said, lower kelvin temp COBs will be more wighted toward red whilst higher kelvin temps are more weighted toward blue. Pretty much any of them will grow dank...

My Amare, Hydroponics Hut, & SunCloak Grow

Those suncloaks look like they're making much bigger colas this time round with the new blades. Good call there.

    The far red thread

You don't need much... I'd say it should cover 2x5 easily and prob 3x5 too. I run about 10W from a single chip and it easily covers 2x3'

    samsung hard strips

Not much room for choice of current there... seems weird. Well at 1000mA you will have about 25W per strip.

I think the Parallel wiring will mean the 4.8A is split between the 2 modules... So 2.4x whatever the forward voltage of those particular modules is should give you wattage. Are you sure those modules take 2.4A current?

Hey man thanks for checking it out. My tap water is crazy hard and alkaline and fluctuates pretty wildly. Where I live it's mostly limestone, so my tap water EC can go as high as 3.0 at times!! I tested it just now for fun at only 0.78 EC and that is actually the lowest I have ever seen it...

They are only main lights in my tiny veg space. I have one in the tent also cos I only have 3ft vertical space in there. I have been using one for side lighting in the flower cab also, but it is not shown in the pics. So yeah, great for side lighting or main lighting where headroom is limited...

Yeah it's hard to find info - Samsung seem to use confusing names/part numbers for these. It is probably easiest to search them at digikey here but they are way overpriced. You can normally find them at half the price at Arrow or Verical but it is hard to search them on those sites. Once you...

Aim for around 600W of COBs for that space. How many of what chips driven how hard is your own personal choice really... different people will tell u different things about what is best.

switch to led or keep HPS?

You might struggle to get a decent replacement for that for $350. I would say finish this run and then invest when u have a little more cash. I agree.
