    Making Wax w Propane

Yup the breakdown is like this, Isobutane 31psig n-butane 16psig propane 110psig Thats what liquide air rated the service pressure of specialty gases from their cylinders. So its most probably vapor pressure the reason it works so well.

I always get mixed answers on this, what is the truth?

The first picture was propane and the dark extract was hit w n-butane after propane, but was convinced the n-butane was dirtier than the first extract of propane and it purges quicker than butane too. Spills or splashes burn way worse than the frostbite of butane. So one needs special care...

    Making Wax w Propane

Vapor pressure is perhaps the reason. I hit the extract w n butane, a can of king, and what it pulled out was not at all yellow like propane was the first time. It was way dark after the butane was introduced into the extract.

    Making Wax w Propane

right, higher selectivity, less yield, better job than butane.

Some National Fire Prevention Association standards the fire marshal considers:

Damn lots of requirements. I think theres more requirements and knowledge of all this flammable stuff than there is to know about SCFE!

    how long to purge reclaim?

Acetone works best for bho. Just swirl it around and it works like crazy. When it is dissolved in a minute or so, spill it in a stainless steel container like a shot glass and light it on fire. The fire heats the container and evaporates quick w a flame not so intense if it isn't topped off. The...

    Making Wax w Propane

Perhaps it's due to propane being a bigger molecule than butane. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Propane-3D-vdW-B.png https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Butane-3D-space-filling.png

Super C extractor? thinking about buying one what's your thoughts?

Co2 is cheap, and prices out here are as good as 385lbs for $100. A dewar needs to be rented, a air driven liquid pump 60:1 and a large volume compressor like ingersollrand is needed along w the high pressure vessels and a touch screen Plc should take care of specific ratios to pump in liquid...

    Making Wax w Propane

Propane is the biz. Just found out power 7 isn't just refined 7 times, but a mixture of n-butane, ISO-butane, and propane. It's impressive and led me to try propane alone and it makes a much prettier extract than n- butane by far. It gives a higher selectivity than butane, and is much cleaner...

That's a long time subjected to heat.

I always get mixed answers on this, what is the truth?

decarboxylation happens prior to extraction so that the cbd isn't exposed to its melting point degrading those desired compounds of interest. That's why 140F is the temp I choose. So my melting point apparatus then melts at about 148F and is spilled, so the next mp is 151-153F w very little...

I always get mixed answers on this, what is the truth?

Well below if vacuum purged. More like 140F and -26Hg. The moisture content is <15%. Residues are from ethanol only and is added once fully purged so that water content is the only remaining residuals left. It leads for a sweeter tasting extract. Did you ever come to Cali? I never got your call.

I always get mixed answers on this, what is the truth?

When we vape, it is kept below combustion and most bp are avoided. When smoking is done, we way exceed the bp and start destroying these fragile compounds. Degrading by heat gives the taste from pipes and bongs, but an oil rig stays way minty w a reclaim sometimes even better than when first vaped.

I always get mixed answers on this, what is the truth?

There isn't supposed to be any activity from solvent residues, just MP. Your hash oil isn't really hash oil unless it melt. So any bubbling is solvents unless you hit BP of hash oil.

Super C extractor? thinking about buying one what's your thoughts?

Awe, it's made from aluminum, subjected to corrosion, and depositing heavy metals due to carbonic acid being corrosive from whatever co-solvent is used. Only an oz is tiny production too.
