    defoliation? yes/no and techniques

I agree, this is why I go to the trouble of leaving the fan leaf behind when I pinch growth out that I do not want for garden shape reasons... These leaves help the plant through its life. When the plant is done, it drops them. Then I pick them up so they do not fall to the coco and encourage...

    defoliation? yes/no and techniques

Like this? I just harvested this one yesterday. Bubba OG - Dr Greenthumb. Excuse the health of the plant... I had 8 unique plants all growing under 1200 watts. Rather than feed the individuals, I find a middle ground for all of them. When I select one of these as a mother, then I will work on...

    defoliation? yes/no and techniques

The number of leaves on the plant is a genetic thing, mostly, imo.. I didn't take off any leaves. I did not defoliate the lower end.. i pinched out growth sites.. Leaving the leaf attached. Those leaves fell off the plant around wk 5 if i remember right. That's not defolliating.. Not sure how it...

    defoliation? yes/no and techniques

I pinch out growth sites on the lower end of the plant. It brings a more consistent product in the end. I get larger buds, in smaller quantity.. rather than many many smaller buds, OR, a mix... same weight either way, ime. Maybe a little heavier when getting fewer larger buds... I do this with...

    defoliation? yes/no and techniques

Imo, pics tell about 1/5 of the story. And yes, I believe that on your quest for yield, you took a wrong turn somewhere. Jmo.. who care what I think if you are blwing up the scale? But, I bet you're not.. I'll spare you "years" count and pic # count. I have experience. I don't really care if I...

And the circus rolls on... Trollitup! Yeah, nice pics.. Pretty plant.. Very generous angle to shoot from.. the above one. I've taken that photo before. If you're gonna take pics, why not make them pretty? Right... Well, unless you are using them to try to prove your point on superior...

    defoliation? yes/no and techniques

I have to say.. I keep seeing people/hearing people use defoliation for improved air circulation. I have to say.. that seems like a terrible way to address air circulation. Put your engineer cap on and make some air movement happen. If you have other reasons, ok, that is another argument...

    defoliation? yes/no and techniques

Editing this whole thing.. Here is the problem with talking botany outside of solid accredited research... I see this A LOT on RIU... People see something in their garden and make bold claims. They make a connection between an action they performed and a result that they see...At times, the...

I didn't give #2 a lot of praise through this journal, but it looks solid.. I think #2 might be a keeper. #5, no question, I'm keeping... if I keep a 2nd, I think it will prbly be #2..

I could not get good pictures of #5 out of the tent. I'll get good bud shots. ALSO, the plant looks pitiful. The buds are amazing though. I had branches falling all over the place.. BOG 5

#7 went to jars today, after a bit of hang drying. I snapped a few shots I like these two a lot.. Not a bad pull... I jar'd them on the vine so, weight later.. Those are 1/2 gal wide mouth mason jars. Not the 1 qt.

It was very close to the bulb. Leaves lower on the plant looked better. Still, I didn't execute precision feeding. After a few monocrops I can get a plant looking perfectly healthy up to the chop. These variety grows, all plants get the same feed, regardless of their needs. I do a little bit of...

tossing runts may be a bad idea

My best yielding plant came from a bag of Green Crack.. I grew out the cut and 3 S1s (from the cut) to pick and choose. I went with one of the S1s.. I've had one really great runt that came from behind... It was a Stweet Tooth 1.1 One of the Killing Fields. runts turned out damn good too...
