    Power Consumption / Light Cost

For me its not about who makes the best ($1000 plus) but where you get the biggest bang for the buck, both in terms of lumens/watt and the light itself. I like my sativas so the cree cxb3590 6500K is for vegging, same maker but 3000K to 3500K for early flowering, and Lightimetunnel at Amazon...

    Cree CXB 3590

Here is a better picture of the system. I used a weak 4 inch fan for two 6 inch duct. The base plate of the heatsink was only 4F warmer than the room temp after 30 minutes of 298 watts. I already had around 10 different heat sinks taken from different computers over the years. I use to think...

    Cree CXB 3590

The above will be used for flowering only. I have a Mean Well 320 watt ordered off of Ebay and was planning on buying 6 6500K 3590s. Then I saw this table and started to think that maybe for my 3 by 8 grow area it would be better to go with the 3070...if nothing else I can buy Molex for the...

    Cree CXB 3590

I have been wanting to do a high CO2 grow but didnt have the tent, the right lighting (I use mostly T5 and the 4 pin cfl). My 600w ballast and bulbs have been in my storage unit long enough to gather dust. But now that LED is at a good price point and it produces a lot less heat than the 4 pin...

Has anyone used DB or DD bin Cree CXB3590?

Check this out: It looks like a ammo box. Good idea for an easy to modify design. That $1199 would buy a lot of COBs and drivers. This guy's design has an independent driver for each COB.

REALSTYLES 6th DIY CXA 3590 5000k DB bin

I bought the Mean Well HLG 320H-36B for just over $100...turns out it is constant on the voltage side which requires me to use all 4 connects of the cob holder for cxb3590...except for the last one. So a few extra feet of wire and some pissed off moments when I wired it as voltage through the...

    400 watt Harvest

I dont know about Mars but my 2 galaxyhydro 300w leds is putting more frost on the buds that my T5 isnt. I have the leds 5 inches from the top of a world of seeds wild Thai. The mars has 5 watt led so it is more concentrated than a 3 watt led system which puts off less heat overall.

Heres what led has done for me.

I can get plants within a 3 watt x 100 a few inches. For 5 watt that pushes out about 6 inches for an example a Mars. That's why I like Galaxyhydro for blooming... with T5 on the sides.

Galaxy Hydro 300w 2X2ft. LED Grow (154 actual watts)

Just bought two LEDs on Amazon...one was a Galaxyhydro and the other Transwift. GET A KILLAWATT watt meter is all I can say. The Transwift pulled less than 80 watts while calling itself a 300 watt. Sent the 80 watt back and bought a second Galaxy...this one is also a 300 but it also comes with...

    First indoor stealth grow

Check out 1000 bulbs. Check out their 4 pin CFL at 40 watts... its available in 3000K to 6500K at around $4 for a 3300 lumen bulb (2611 base). The life span is a little better than your average T5. Their site can be a hassle navigate but they have to have the largest selection of lighting that...

    Grow a pound with cfl's

Better stock up on those CFLs. The best deal in 6500K 30W CFLs (the best watt/lumens ratio) around where I live use to be Lowes. LED may make CFLs harder to come by cheaply but I don't think that they will do much as far as T5 HO... 54 watts at 4500 to 5000 lumens for the 4 foot bulbs for...

    A perfect cure every time

For me curing in the summer time verse winter time are totally different. Growing a strain like Jack Herer in unforgiving in the summer time when there are plenty of mold spores to f- my weed up. So I use water crystals that can be bought off Ebay. Just separate weed from crystals with...

    Seeds Here Now

Let me see what does this remind me of .... a few trolls saying these strains are the best thing since sliced bread, $150 for 10 seeds.......Looks like Dr. Greedthumb all over again. BUT unlike GT You have to have some balls to ship product over state lines.

This LED Light claiming 210w draw but 1000w equivilent??

Several brands of LED are sold on Amazon....it's feedback is a good source of info on what to buy. The question and answer boards are also informative.

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

I use a low 3.5 foot high, 15 inches wide and 8.75 foot long space to do my growing. T5 seems to have the best choice thus far for that space. Since I use the Jumpstart modular T5 I can get 12 4 foot lamps in their (it is a upstairs area back behind the walls where the roof arcs down). I...

    bodhi seeds

It is the Feds...if I buy within my own state through the mail no problem. The feds get involved when seeds cross state lines. Speaking on that subject is there anyone who has been to Colo. or Washington (the state) from another state have any problems buying seeds? Sounds retarded but it...

    Midweek Song Order

Their version (British Columbia Seed Co.) puts Sensi's NL to shame. I don't know where the low odor came from because neither is what I would call low odor.

    Seeds Here Now

$199 for pack of seeds is NOT for me. Last 2 times I spent a bunch of money for a pack wan Sensi seeds Nothern Lights and Greenthumb (greedthumb) for some JH strain. Sensi germination rate was 50% and 0 for Greedthumb. The only pack of beans that I would spend north of $120 is Serious seeds...

Female Seeds next gen c99 - Sexbud

Somone needs to tell RCMC to pull their heads out of their asses by placing an order at Sannies. $25 for shipping AND list an alternate in case what you really wanted is out of stock. You can at least have the decency of having a running count of how many packs are left or some way of telling...

Seed City - Anyone else use them??

It sometimes is the seed banks fault if they do not rotate stock properly or they buy other seed bank's old stock. If the bank has really low prices and spotty selection not to mention offering seeds that have been out of production for a while then they should be avoided like the plague. I...
