well ideally in an airtight container, possibly throw so incandescent saches in there with them (i do) then put the in a cool dark place (though the container should do this in most cases) so just find a cool dark place to put them in. ive had and seen seeds germinate well for many years like...

a few seeds towards the end of flower should be fine, in fact keep them and grow them out if your lucky and a different fem pollinated it youll have female inclined seeds, same as if it selfed itself but im not really for or against this technique it has its advanages and disadvantages...
