Exactly what I was going to say. :) I think a lot of people are confusing defoliation and pruning on these threads. There obviously are people defoliating their plants, which I personally think is a tad insane, but I see quite a few people defending "defoliation" while they describe "pruning"...

I use a 40x jeweler's loupe. It did have an LED, but I broke it about a year or so ago. So I just use a little LED pen light if I cast too much shadow over my view. I believe I got the loupe at Amazon, but it could have been eBay... hard to remember every little purchase made over four years...
