I didnt say un useable, but if you veg then flower with the same bulb it should be replaced every grow. If you veg and flower under different bulbs then after flower you move the bulb to veg with and use a new one for flower. To me a new bulb is cheap 1000w ushio is only 75-80 locally phillips...
