    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

This is what those pretty plants looked like "the morning after" giving some bennies in the soil, this stuff, at 19.99 for 4 ounces SAYS it is for use in soil and hydro/a soluble rooth growth enhancer, endo/ecto mycorrhizae.. I have heard GREAT stuff about mycorrhizae and I don't know why it...

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

The whole "plan" behind doing hydro was because it was supposed to be easier on the old back (broken in accident) Lugging them 3 and 5 gal buckets into the shower for flushes was super killer on my back..ughh...well, now that I have a PPM meter hopefully I won't over nute and cook them, and the...

I was thinking that, too...will the ^ in PH overstress them? My soil mix seems to stay around 7 no matter the PH of the water or nutes, it has some sort of buffering in it..I have a 40 gal bin of soil mixed up still from the plants that died..(it was extra) and you can't reuse soil, correct...

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

going to snap some pics and see if there are any significant changes with the ^ PH.. Was worried that the plants left in rockwool may not be getting roots outside the cubes yet (only 1 small one showed when I put them in the buckets a week ago) and she's def. growing her roots, also checked on...

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

And since I am now guessing that the brownish spots were from a mag def I used 1/2 tsp epsom salts in a quart and foliar fed them as I gave them there first flood of the day, one plant was almost half size it was so folded in on itself(sorta shriveled up), and after leaving the nutes/h2o in the...

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

what about the ridging on the leaves/plants I took the rockwool off? maybe a big PH fluct due to rockwool staying like neutral and the res water being 5.5?

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

OHH check out the last plant, she was the one with the "bad hair day" someone commented due to her weirdly deformed first leaves, everything seems to have straightened it self out...I'm so glad!

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

Ok so this is now pics of the girls, right after a feeding, see what I mean about the deep ridges in the vein areas? Almost give it a 3-D ish look.. Only thing I have seen on the deficient chart was a very trace thing..GH nutes seem to be ok in their numbers, right? So I guess they do look...

The best thing to do when you have a problem is to create a new thread, include pictures so the pro's can see what your concerns are, and post it in "plant problems, or troubles" area, people here are gr8 about helping out! Just takes a bit to find someone you can click with...good luck!!! Oh to...

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

as a newb myself,I shouldn't be trying to help anyone(not qualified), but just having gone through this with my babies, too..they need MORE NITROGEN..when the first sign of lighter green new growth appeared I upped the ppm of my nutes, gradually, by like 50-70 every couple days, until all was...

    2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

The only real problem I see now, besides the growth slowing wayyy down, is on the 3 plants I removed the rockwool from, a few ends of roots broke off, there were a LOT of roots and I figured they'd grow more...those plants feel dry, almost crispy but not that dry, and the where they were soft...

    My first grow..MMJ Patient. Attempt #1...started w/ only 1 T-5 HO 8 bulb unit

I am just posting on the newer thread for the babies, since all of these nice plants have died :-( I just went through the pics, I can't beleive that was only 2 weeks ago, they didn't look THAT bad, but it was the beginning of their decline in health..then the oregonimsn XL sealed their fates...
