100% agreed... but if vented "properly" you can put them in pretty tight spaces... Like the 20"x36"x54" https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/122687-gypsys-600-watt-home-made.html Here is the illustration by Al B. Fuct that guided me i my set up... noting that very...

    cooltube vs batwing

I disagree with you here... It's not just a wider light spread... A 600 has much more intensity of light... even a few inches further, it will still kick a 400 in the butt... everyday... The ideal thing is to have a 600 in a sealed reflector... then you can have your plants 6" from the...

    Hydroponics

Well... Here is what I got going right now... I've been "on a break"...lol..... I made a square wodden "table" to support 4 3x3 trays... making SURE to support the trays from underneath... not just hanging from the lip... in time the flex will turn into a crack... I'll take a picture of it...

Wow... I paid 80 bucks for mine.. all the way in Alaska... I would look into maybe making your own trays of cash is really short... but I would deff. stick to ebb / flow... I use 4 3x3 trays and LOVE it!!!! each gets a 600... Just saying.. nothing wrong with coco or drip... But MY...

    Hydroton and Ebb/Flow method?

One thing to remember when using hydroton is that it does not wick... at all... So whatever roots are above the flood line are not getting ANY water... and that can be a problem.... Make sure you ALWAYS flood as HIGH as you can... remembering that USUALLY (depends on the fittings used) the...

vertucal vs. horizontal with a twist..

Glad you liked it...!!! Thanks for the kind words...:weed: Now.. back to your issue... A turn table is a pretty delicate instrument... I imagine something more solid... not suspended on tiny springs... Just about any electric motor can be used... I mean.. you can power a freight...

    Hydroton and Ebb/Flow method?

RR plugs do not mind being soaked... But RW cubes SHOULD NEVER BE SOAKING WET.. it will invite all kinds of problems... So if you are using the cubes for cloning and STRAIGHT HYDROTON in the pots.. I recommend you follow Al B. Fuct's illustration on flooding hydroton pots with RW cubes...

Sealing light leaks on an entrance door

Yes.. it matters... to some strains more than others.. But light leaks are one of the biggest contributors to hermies... and yes there are lots of hermies in Nature... Good practices that help us keep the balls out of our grows include light-proofing... If you can see your hand in front of...

Sealing light leaks on an entrance door

The seals are soft and squishy, so if you can close the door with the extension cord... you can close the door with the seals on... Careful though... you do not want to "bite" the cord... :o
