I think it's impossible to make an argument that there is a difference between the two. nature doesn't veg at 6500k. And you can veg fine with an hps and it's a lot redder than that. Focus on the other factors and that 1500k won't matter a whit.

I haven't used pH up or down in two years. My nutes, Humboldt Master A&B keep my res in the low 6s. Plus Humboldt says no worry from 5.5 to 7.0. I think pH is less about what the plants want and more about what the nutes require for uptake.

All I can say is I love my Lumatek digital/dimmable and I wouldn't recommend anything else to a friend. Worth the investment.

Why make the veg room bigger? It takes a lot more space to flower than to veg. 25 sq ft of veg space could easily feed probably 200 sq ft of flowering space.

I agree more about multiple strains than multiple plants. I do multiple plants of the same strain and strive for uniformity - they all need the same thing at the same time.

18 gal tote is 12 gal of water. I figure 2 gal per plant and 3 is better. So, 4 or 6 grown pretty large. But of course, you could do 16 plants and keep them small.

The danger of using those is that they dry to fast and often too much. Once you pass a certain point of drying, the curing process cannot be optimal.
