Anyone try LED lights? I just stumbled onto a article in the High Times 2009 Grow guide. Googled it and found that they cost a lot. About $450 for something that would be sized to be sufficient for a AG grow. The cost sucks, but the plus is the lower energy use, low heat emission if any...

Thanks for the help. I put the ungerminated seeds direct into the AG. I did cut the sponges in half. The sponges are getting water. It's weird that when I first got it, I just threw in some bag seeds and they went ape shit growing really fast. I didn't even do anything special. These seed bank...

I tried some bad seed and they popped in the AG in about 3 days. These fancy seed bank haven't moved in the AG at all. Put them in Friday night. No movement in 6 days. Are they ruined?

No, not in the rez, just in the closet, like in a bowl. To slowly evaporate. But I guess if I flower with cfls, then it wouldn't help. What about the sugar/bakin soda in water method that is mentioned in the FAQ here on RIU?

What kind of wattage CFls are you getting? How are you mounting the additional lights? I got a PH tester at Pet Smart for $4. It goes from 6.0 to 7.6. This is a link to the brand I got. Their website only lists this one, but you can get a PH only tester too...

If true, which I read that C02 in crucial for fast plant growth then would it be good to put some dry ice in a bowl in the box/grow area? Wouldn't the melting of the dry ice create a C02 rich environment?

I cleaned my aerogarden for the first time last night. It took the filter off of the pump to clean and noticed that there is a dial with like 1-5 on it. It was set on 2, so I left it. Does anyone know what this is for? Is it for pump speed? Does it matter? thanks
