You have to cut them first, the roots will stop the colours from absorbing. FDD did this as an experiment a while back and it does work.

What is confusing? I said I'm growing in soil as organic as I can, not hydro, and I tested the run off water which is PH 5 after watering with PH 7 filtered water. Not sure why you are confused and think I'm growing hydro.:peace:

I water my plants with Brita filtered tap water which has always been bang on 7 PH and so I have never had this problem before. My plants are White Queen 5 weeks into 12/12 and grown in soil as organic as I can, but recently the leaves started looking strange, so I tested my water and it's PH6...

Isn't that just to make your plants look nicer, like a waxy coating? If so I wouldn't put it on anything I'm going to inhale.:peace:

Why would you do that? Plants need good air flow to grow strong and healthy. Domes are for clones.:joint:

Looks like a classic case of lack of disolved oxygen, in other words overwatering. Let the soil dry out a little between watering, feel the weight of the pot to tell.:hump:

Do you have an oscilating fan, it doesn't look like you do, It's very important to help strengthen the stems and leaves and to keep fresh air circulating.

I have heard a lot of people say to do this for 72 hours, but one breeder (Seedism) reccomends total darkness for 5 days to bring out the flavour. Can't say it works or not personally. I guess you would need to try it with 1 plant and do a Blind tasting to see for sure.:peace:
