Big Up Powder.....Looks Like Sand And Coffee Grounds?

I just started using Humboldt Nutrients entire 3 part feeding schedule. When I opened up the Big Up Powder, I was shocked when I saw what it looked like.

For some reason with the packaging, I was figuring it would be white or tinted like Beastie Bloom or Bud Blaster. The stuff looked like sand and coffee grounds thrown in the container and smelled wierd.

Has anyone used this product before? Is this what its suppose to look like? I tried to get in touch with the company, but I can never get through and haven't answered any emails.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Well since nobody seems to know the answer to this....

I went to a different shop today and checked out their Big Up Powder. It looked and smelled the same so I feel a little better.

The packaging was different on the one that I bought compared to the one at the other store. I got 1 pound of it for $30 while they were selling 1/2 pound for $30. They were in the same type of container, but the label was VERY different. The one I bought had a "seal" under the lid while the one I looked at today didn't.

The people at this shop said the guy where I bought it repackages stuff. I know he sells individual packets of SubCulture, but its because like 15 packets come in a container. He also repacks BudBlaster into smaller packaging. I can see him taking a large, more expensive thing and turning it into a bunch of inexpensive smaller packs. But I bought almost the largest size of this stuff, I don't see him repackaging that.

I'm thinking they changed their labeling because it looked kind of plain. The feeding chart the guy had was the "older" version and has updated ones on the way. I think he bought this stuff before the label/feeding chart change. If it fucks up my plants, I'm going to be pissed, but I think it will be ok.

Any company that doesn't return your emails, I would avoid. I have never used Humbolt products but it is nice to know they do not return emails.

nicely put. humbolt is bogi. get earth juice and all your problems will disappear. :peace:
I don't have any problems, just a question.

I sent them another email and I'm hoping they will answer this one. SOmething may have happened with the other one.

Have you even used Humboldt Nutrients? Or are you just talking shit because you like your earth juice? I prefer mineral nutrients to organics, so I will stay away from the earth juice stuff.

I will let you know if they return the email and I will also be posting my grow on here so every one who has wanted to know how these nutes are will have something to go by.

I got talked into getting an 8oz container of this stuff myself, it smells great for plant food (like dead fish) but I'm not hearing good things about this company/nute line so I'm kinda afraid to use it on my plants. I got it as a boost only, (I use the BioCanna line of nutes) so it would be nice to see some reviews of it?
