You can bury the stem up to an inch below the botom leaves and put the lights closer. If you have some rooting/cloning gel you can also apply that to the stems that you cover with soil.

Theres no nitrogen in mollasses. LR2's dont like too many nutes, so I'd flush them well and give 1/4 doses of nutes. Mollasses contains Potassium, carbs and trace elements and wont harm them.
