Yep, yellow tips are usually too many nute's to early. If your using a potting mix with nutes in it already this can happen.

Ethylene gas has been in use for a long time. Most fruit an veg is picked unripe so it doesn't bruise or over ripen during transport. They then gas it to ripen ready for market. But I would have assumed these were quite large and expensive operations and beyond any use to us.:bigjoint:

I recently bought some seeds for a strain I hadn't grown before, they literally jumped out of the seeds and had their first set of true leaves at 3 days fromt planting, then they just sat there for 2 weeks, no growth at all, then in the 3rd and 4th week until now, they grew like crazy, now at 4...

You won't get 4oz using flouro's or CFL's. I usually get 3 to 4oz's a plant, but I use 2x 400 and 1x 600 HPS and currently flowering 7 plants under them, and it's crowded in there (my grow tent) I used a mixture of 200W CFL's and MH x2 x 400. for vegging My CFL's are huge though, and they draw...

I know that, but a lot of people are saying to put bananas around the plants for the first 3 weeks or so, it doesn't work. Have you read the whole post, and the others? There has been so many posts about bananas here it's not fuuny.

When did you switch to 14/10, and have you noticed anything peculiar since then?

I've tried the seed soak and the bananas around the plants, result was nothing encouraging and I won't be trying it again. :sad:
