The plant has to remain in the cup for its entire life cycle. From seed/ clone to harvest. Whoever has the highest yield, and best plant wins. :)

Man that varies with every strain. I saw my second full set in about a week. When mine were seedlings, I kept them in a solo cup too. I used about a quarter cup of water every couple days.

What size container are they in? I normally water mine by weight.

Something else worth mentioning about autos. You really can't clone them. So if you want to keep growing them do a seed run your first grow. The buds won't be nearly as potent, but they will still be smokeable and you'll get a few hundred seeds out of it.
