I have located a great outdoor spot, well protected. The area generates some very think green plants etc. Also there is a stream running through it. Is it not possible to just germinate the seeds, drop em in the ground and check on it every now and again? Water when and if needed? I'm not...

That's pretty simple... So just uproot the area I want to use, prepare it, drop the seeds in and that's pretty much it? What about watering (if there's no rainfall)? and how long of a drought is too long?

I have a great secluded preserve near by, NO ONE is ever in it. It's gets moderate to good sunlight and it's a very moist area. Tons of greenery that should help my little project blend in so to speak. I have a bunch of quality seeds and I want to know if I need to do any prep work before...

Good info.. So to confirm.. During the germination and veg stage, watering should only be a little dusting to just keep the top soil and leaves moist and that should happen daily? When should real watering begin? What about the light schedule during the veg stage...I read somewhere that...

Hmmm, I am getting conflicting info here. A lot of people said use the HPS for the full life cycle.

Ok, the setup has been re worked. The 600 watt HPS light is now 3 feet above the pots. Germinating a new set of seeds as we speak. once the seeds have successfully germinated and they have been moved in to pots, how often should they be watered? I assume the HPS light should be on 24 hours a...

do you think miracle grow soil had anything to do with it or was this simply heat related?

There is no way it was from too much water...this was heat related. I touched the area around the soil, and pot and it was very hot. I had the lamp about 5 inches from the top of the pots.... I thought the lamp was supposed to be that close no? or is the 600watt HPS too strong to be that...

WTF? after about 5 hours under the HPS lamp, the plants have withered in to nothing. They are DEAD!!!! What happened?

my friend just told me that he went to spray the pots with a little water and accidentally picked up windex and lightly spayed one of the plants...Did he just kill his crop?

How often should one be watering in this stage? I am kind of partial to using a spray bottle and lighting dusting the top with some water....

so the two in each can compromise the plant? I can move at this point with no problem?
