Cabinet grow with Lowryder 2 in soil (foxfarm ocean in 2 gallon pots)and my plant is 5 weeks old and budding nicely. It is short (5inches) and showing signs off too much light. The cabinet is dresser sized using 250watts HPS shining about 4 inches above the girl. She Is getting bleached and...
I think you have done really well with those CFLs. If you stick a 150W HPS I there with a remote balast you will not have any heat issues, but why bother. You may get a little better yeild, but I am impressed with what you have done with CFL in that little space. Go to HPS when you can get a...
I just chopped a male that was 24 days old and it was 3.5 inches. Yours look very healthy for Lowryder and should really start to explode with bud growth. Keep doing what you are doing and just chalk the smallness of your plant to the strain. It's not called Lowryder for nothing. Please keep...
My cabinet got nixed after my last grow got stinky so I had to resort to the attic. I knew my only chance was a winter grow because temps are way too hot in all other seasons here in Kansas. I found that my setup is much simpler in the cold. I have a 250watt HPS for light and a heat source. My...
Totally disagree with all the above posts saying that you messed up. I have had about 4 grows of LR2 under 250Watt HPS in soil and have yet to have an 18 inch plant like I was lead to believe they would grow to. Mostof mine topped out at around 12 inches and were one big bud. Yours look good...
Lots of variables to consider like size of your growspace, ventilation and seed strain. Sure you can grow some autoflowering dwarfs and get some bud, but you are not going to grow a monster with one 150w HPS.
I am on my 5th LR2 cabinet grow about 1 week behind you using 250watt HPS and your plants look great! Maybe you don't have the room, but why did you not put them in bigger pots? You seem to be all over the nutes, but my strategy has been to put them in bigger pots early with Foxfarm Ocean soil...
Is this thread totally dead. If not a single question - when do LR2 usually show their sex? Mine are 2 weeks from seed under 250HPS in 16OZ cups and I think one is already showing hairs. Am I hallucinating?
I have grown them with 150watt HPS and it did fine. The yeild was about 1/2 OZ per plant, but I had heat issues. It's got a super strong smell so keep that in mind. I had to move my cabinet out to the garage attic because of the smell.
I have a good cabinet proven by several grows of Lowdyder years ago With good ventilation to the outside using 250watt HPS. I recently started a new grow and have forgotten a few things. I have 3 seedlings (hoping for at least one female) and I have 2 questions to help maximize yeild:
1. When...
Had to move the grow cabinet out to the garage attic above due to smell issues and I'm doing a grow in the coldest time of the year as it is the only time it will work because it is too hot in any other season. I attached my vent fan to an attic fan thermostat from Cheap Homo that turns the fan...
Your SOL unless you get some air moving through there. You need to vent to the attic or the outside(like through a window or outside wall). The light it takes to have a good grow in an enclosed space like that needs good ventilation. Grow cabinets are easy to light, but difficult to make...
Germinating 2 Big Boy tomato plants to grow in my dresser sized grow cabinet for some fun. It is well ventilated with temps in the 80's with a 250 watt HPS lighting. I was thinking 18/6 cycle. Both plants will be planted in the same 3 gallon bucket using foxfarm ocean soil. Any tips??? I...
I recently grew some lowryder 2 and it was really stinky as it reached maturity. I had to stop one week short because it stunk up my house. I was really happy with it otherwise and I would like to stick with an auto flowering strain. Does anyone know of a good auto flowering strain that does not...
I don't think you are going to get the help you need with this tread. Most of these guys are pissed that you did not go DIY. I support you in that I am a guy with plenty of spare cash and wish I had gone your route from the beginning. If I were you, I would lurk in the hydroponic threads to...
You lost me. I went soil after one aeroponic grow. It's too F'in complicated for a compact personal grow. Good luck! I'm sure I will now be getting harassed by DIYers and the hydro/aeroponic crowd.
Screw the DIY'rs. YOu made a wise choice. I went DIY and ended up spending a shitload of cash before I got the lighting and ventilation right because I was a newb. I now have a really nice cabinet that cost me more than one of those pre-made grow cabinets not to mention the time it took.
