My Home Depot has clearance sale on security lights

Stopped in to HD today and they still have 2 100 watt HPS lights for sale marked down to $34.00 Also some nice 40 watt flouro security lights marked at $29.00 They just can't seem to get rid of them. I hope they find a good home/grow closet soon. Does anyone else know if other HD's in the...

    Lowryder #2 bed grow

YOu asked what I do. Lets just say I work with wayward individuals and try to solve their problems. An almost impossible task when it comes to pain killers I'm afraid. Thanks for the quick replies to my LR2 questions.

    Lowryder #2 bed grow

DrZoidburg, I am new to LR2 and have 1 out of 5 plants now identified as female on day 21(shit luck but what can you do). I'm a nube and it looks like each male I plucked had open pollen bags despite my daily vigilance. Seems to me in my limited experience that this strain has pollen bags that...

    Lowryder #2 bed grow

DrZoidberg, I please advise about lumens. Do you think that 2 LR2 plants in a small cabinet would do well with a 150 watt HPS or would you need supplemental lighting? If so then I testing indicates I will have heat issues and have to invest in some ventilation equipment which I would like to...

My Home Depot has clearance sale on security lights

If HD still has the 100watt HPS security light for $34.50 then snag it. It puts out 10,000 lumens and will grow dense buds on a single plant. Thats probably cheaper than buying all those CFL's equivalent in lumens. It will be hotter though, but not unmanageable. I can't believe this thread is...

Lowryder 2 with CFL's in my closet.

Just read the whole thread. Kind of makes the case for soil being more forgiving with new growers. Thanks for the thread and good luck. Keep posting and I will keep following. How big are your pots?

    Slow growth not sure why

that should be plenty of light for that sized box. At this stage the AG lights should be sufficient. Just a tip with the heat control - make sure you exhaust from the top and draw in air from the bottom. Heat rises.

    Slow growth not sure why

Do you have the lights close enough? I would not break out the HPS yet until they have some descent growth. They should do great initially with just the AG lights.. Sounds to me like you you may have some minor heat issues but you have worked them out. Give it a few more days and I bet...

Big Bud Grow from seed: day 44 aeroponics

WOW! If you look at the top of the bud in the first pic (left)you can see a tiny white hand giving me the finger. I think this pic should be removed as I find it offensive. If nobody else can see it then it's just me it's directed toward and I'm even more offended. Keep in mind that I'm not...

My Home Depot has clearance sale on security lights

Smaller HPS is for small scale growing. All some people need is 100 watt. I started this thread to save those people a little $$$$. Hope it helped. If you are growing on a larger scale then HD is not the place for you to get lights.

    I hate Room Mates!

I would imagine you can get creative with storing the stuff in your closet. Why not move your clothes and food to the closet in the spare bedroom and use your closet for the grow. It's a bad situation you are in and all I can see is trouble if you don't compromise somehow. You can bet they...

T5's and 3 LED Panels, or a 400 HPS? in this cab

wouldn't a 250 HPS work for that space? Kind of a compromise that would probably be more than enough light. You could side light with a few vertically individual T5's if money is not an issue.

    REZN'S First Grow Rubbermaid Style!

Someone chime in here, but could this be an autoflowering strain? Doesn't it take alot more than 2 days to show sex? I'm guessing it started to flower before he went 12/12. Just my thoughts.

My Home Depot has clearance sale on security lights

My home depot has a bunch of security lights for sale. HPS, Metal Halide and flouro. All about 20-50% off. Looks like they will no longer carry them. They had a nice looking flouro for $29 and 100 watt HPS for $50. Just thought I would let anybody know who was interested.

    Electrical questions, post em here!

I'm looking to slow it down to keep the noise down. It moves too much air for my little cabinet and creates wind noise. I have a 4 inch fan I could go to, but it would be a big pain in the ass to change. If I can get it slowed down for say under 30 bucks, I would be happy. The controller I...

What type of solid state controller should I get for this in line duct fan. I tried a ceiling fan controller and it did no work. hope you can get to the link. I threw away the box so I have no idea what kind of motor it is or how many amps. 6-In 110VAC 250CFM In-Line Duct Fan - DB200

    Flouro lights...good or terrible?

Are you still on the same grow? I just noticed that this thread is 4 months old.

    Flouro lights...good or terrible?

consider venting with an inline duct fan through the ceiling into the attic if your room is on the top floor or out the side if on an outside wall. Ceiling would be best as heat rises. This will take care of both heat and odor then you can burn as many CFL's as you want. You will have to deal...
