HEY CD, Aren't you using soil with some nutes already in it? Shouldn't that take care of any minerals that you miss out on due to bottled water? I just went back and looked at a pic of the soil ur using (you posted it in my thread) and there is calcium and magnesium in ur soil already.

yeah I've definately had the gnats from MG soil before but it's never bothered me in the past cause I keep lots of sticky pest strips in the room with them. Little boogers seem to go right to 'em then BAM, there are stuck and dead!

My only reason for the tin foil was to reflect the light coming down, back up to the undersides of the leaves. you will notice in the newer pics that it's not there anymore.
