VO is right, keep the main fan leaves. Tuck them if they are blocking light to bud sites. You may want to trim back those lower bud sites that are getting no light at some point though!

LOL I am literally ashamed to take pictures of my root masses. I have zero light/temp/disease issues but I do occasionally forget to top off and the water level drops. After the roots get exposed to the air they seem to tint tan forever! I can be a little abusive to my girls...which is odd I guess?

I wish I was as careful about my water levels as you seem to be. I have no light/temp/nute issues in my res but sometimes I forget to top off and the air exposed roots always tint tan afterwards:cry: It's like getting skin cancer after one sunburn....naked(root) pics never look as good again.
