Just a quick note. Watered my Moby Dick with plain water tonight. Also the seedlings are looking better already although will have to let them dry out then PH down them again. Hoping that will 'fix' them and they can finally grow.
Looking very good. Keep it going. As far as nutes go I'd wait another week then start with 1/4 strength KISS formula. However that is just what I like to do.
So my vegging area is too hot and the seedling soil is too high in PH and not drying out very well. As a last resort I moved them all into the flower cab and put a couple of 6500k bulbs on them. A 65w for 3 and a 26w for the other one.
I'll give them a week, maybe 10 days to do something in...
This is good advice about the yellowing leaves. Perfectly normal in late flower.
I think that 70% amber tric's is way too long to wait. I'd look for mostly cloudy tric's with about 20% amber myself. It all depends on what kind of effect you want from your plant.
I grew TD and found she didn't like being LST'ed. Also was very sensitive to nute changes. I used Maxibloom from genhydro - KISS formula all the way through till I had the bright idea of putting a plant food tablet in the soil. Big mistake! She went hermie on me and I had to chop earlier than I...
Pulled the other 'exile' today. Smelled great but I could only see it going one way. Miniature plant. Miniature yield. Not worth it. So just the 4 remaining bagseeds now. Going to let their soil dry out a little more before adding some PH down water mixture again. Going to get these babies down...
Try to keep things simple. Lumens. Only. As I said above. There is enough to worry about already. Check your packaging and the bulbs themselves. Lumens will be listed. Just add them up.
Doubtful. Unless it is REALLY hot. I did a whole grow in hot temps. 85 degrees + at all times.
Used CO2 and lots of airflow to compensate.
Plants vegged and grew just fine. I'd look at temps after you check PH and PPM.
Basically my auto's did badly and the the photo's did ok. However that was more due to other issues. The reason why I don't think they mix is that you can put a lot more hours of light onto an auto if there are no photoperiods around to cramp their style.
Looking very good. Everything seems fine. Pistols development seems fine too. Not sure but doesn't the timing on the development of pistols have something to do with the strain you are growing? I'd take the view that the plant is healthy and developing nicely and it will be ready when it is ready.
I've run into this problem recently. I narrowed it down to a couple of problems. High ph and/or hot soil. Check your PH. If that is OK then it is probably the soil.In that case try a repot into a more inert medium.
Your plants look great. Doing very nicely. How long do you plant to veg? I used molasses last grow but only during flower. My only criticism would be mixing auto's with photoperiods. I did that last grow and given the chance to do it again I'd either do ALL auto's or ALL photoperiods.
Either...
So the jury is still out on the seedlings. Figure they have got one more low ph water left in them before I have to decide whether they stand or fall. Probably fall. The fact is my Moby Dick is getting so big and bushy I might only have room for one more plant in the other tent anyway.
Now the...
Generally speaking with CFL's you cannot have too much light. I try and put bulbs in as many places as they will fit without burning the plant.
You really want a min of 100 real watts per plant though.
So the NL x BB finally bit the dust. Not growing, twisted little leaves. Not worth it. I pulled it and binned the soil. Will now probably germ something else.
Here are some pics of the others. Put some ph down mixture into the remaining seedlings. The first two now have a ph under 7.0 and the...
Thanks for the kind words. Get a bit discouraged sometimes even though this journal is as much for me as it is for anyone else.
Tonight I added the last of my nute mix to the MD. It drank it all up greedily. Nute wise not sure what to do next. Was going to just add Maxibloom from here on in at...
