Please stop using height comparisons. Every strain is different. You can flower as soon as you'd like. If you want a short overall plant, flower early. If you have room to accommodate a 9ft. beast (considering the genetics will permit) veg for 6 months :)

Hehe no 12/12 is flowering. For veg you're gonna want 24/0 or 18/6. The veg stage you can't control, as long as there is light it will go right into the veg stage from the seedling stage. You can however control when you induce flowering 12/12

Ya man you're gonna be growing some dank shit in no time. I researched a lot before taking my first dive, and still made some mistakes. I remember all the misleading info I got on forums. I found that actual facts, and books were a lot more help :)

I would say hydro will def get you better yields, and faster growth. It's more work tho IMO. IMO I like to take it easy, and just water every once in awhile. Those pics look really good (the ones you showed off earlier). If you can maintain the system I'd stick to that. IMO soil is less work...

You can veg as long as you'd like. If you start flowering when your plant is 20 in. Your final product will be 40-50 in. That's big if you ask me. I usually start flowering at 10-12 in. Most strains will at least double in size.

Ya, I started my first grow in a STEALTH HYDRO setup, and could make the same thing for 1/4 the price. I wasn't a fan of it. I'm doing soil now :) Sorry for getting off subject :wall:

Dude your gonna be overflowing w/ personal opinions on that. The best advice I can give you is: LEARN THE FACTS, read up on how to grow some dank shit. You get out what you put into growing. Take some time, and understand WHY marijuana needs bluer light during vegging, and red light when flowering.

Sounds like you're on the right track. For seedlings you'll only need 1-2 bulbs. How long you veg will determine how much light you'll need for your flowering stage. He's right about that. Y splitters are space savers :)
