Are these seedlings or clones? I wouldnt let the nutrients sit in the attic due to heat. With the foxfarm soil you should not need to give them nutes for a couple of weeks. Tobe more concise you need to show me pics of the plants.

What are you feeding them at this point? What kind of soil are you using? How close are the lights you are using ? It looks like the top is burning from what i can see in the pics.

Dig some holes and supplement the soil I'm sure you can find cheap organic supplements to add to some potting soil from Home depot.

It can be done I do it all the time i trim the roots then I place it in a 2 gallon for a month then transplant to a 7 gallon. I have never had probelms and i have 3 and four foot plants budding out side been out since late February.

I say no it is not overkill. Strain dependent you will have a few lbs coming out of those pots. Go for it that why I know you will stay within the limit for sure.
