the best way to test for heat is to put your hand at the top of the plant keep moving the light closer until its too hot to keep your hand there comfortably thn raise it from that point a few inches

i plan on growing 5 really short autoflower plants in a garbage bin with a 16 inch diameter and is 2 feet tall.
i plan on using cfls but im not sure on wether to get 1 high wattage bulb or a bunch of somewhat low wattage bulbs and secondly im not sure what the best kind of fixture i should...

i know its tight id get a bigger box but there aint much point of a stealth grow if the box cant fit under your furniture.
but if you check out the snowryder strain they rarely grow any larger than 15 inches and its not much of a brancher plus i plan on blasting them with at least 250w
so im deciding 2 grow an auto flower strain since they seem the most convenient 4 a stealth grow (relativly short with a quick life cycle) im leaning towards the snowryder strain.
