i'll second Coho's thoughts, perlite and dolomite make it much nicer i've had good luck with it, though fungus gnats are a common hitch hiker but they can be dealt with pretty easy

my outdoor grow in india (12 latitude)

i have experience with bone meal, Miracle Grow Organic bone meal, which has a 6-9-0 ratio of nutrients a good ingredient for tea, but it takes time to break down, as in 4+weeks, not a quick tea, also smells very unpleasant the coffee grounds and worm compost ought to be good ingredients, but no...

the myth of hermie trait dominance?

i've seen a number of growers that tend to believe the hermie trait is dominant i.e. you breed to a hermie female, you will mostly get hermie offspring here's my limited experience, just 3 offspring so far, but i'm a small scale grower started with a brain wreck female, had the hermie trait hot...

i would be wary of such, maybe it would be helpful, maybe not a compost heap gives good material, though the finer points of composting in your area is outside of my experience

interesting, was this mother grown from seed? or was it a clone from another mother plant? the only thing that occurs to me is the increased time of vegging some how made the parent plant more stable

you can definitely judge by eye with reasonably good eyesight a magnifier is nice, but not absolutely necessary, i've done both, hold bud to a bright background it will be different from using a magnifier, each has their own feel

Getting a Hermie out of a Male plant ?

seeds from a male plant would be remarkable it may not be impossible, there is a well known breeder(DJ Short) that wrote some stuff up on fertile male hermies however, this is a rare occurrence, the best you probably can do is collect pollen and create some seeds if you freeze dry that pollen...

my outdoor grow in india (12 latitude)

you have me there, probably not, a lot of conditions can be non-specific, which can make for stressful moments PH is a culprit in many situations like this, some soil products break down(such as peat moss) and create increased acidity, if the PH was on the edge before, it goes over and things...
