small space is even more reason to make a cool tube. it sounds like you have put a little bit of money into this why not put down some more and make a cool tube

a picture would be nice buddy but it sounds like you found a great spot and it should be ok but you need to invest in organic pesticides because it will get eaten. make sure its organic whatever you do. i would even put up something like a wire fence around it to keep animals from eating it.
