trick i use to dry wet gear is to put a glass drinks coaster over the top of a table lamp and sit it on that (on top of shade), go down pub neck a couple and it's just right when I get back. Even damp weed would be welcome at the mo mind!!

soil reading was in the red (pH5), garden lime added has brought it back down to the green (pH6) perhaps too much in fact but I'm sure it will level out once I slowly start adding nutes again!!! Tobacco/chilli sprayed my other plant and carbonated water sprayed the one previously chilli'd/tobacco'd.

i have got one of these crappy soil tester kit - soil in tube, add ph indicator shake and wait. Never changes colour though, just soil dissolved in watery solution colour! I'll have a look for an alt

makes sense that, i guess you're not going to get 100% of all salts and nutes in the solution, just a dilution of (it being water), cheers for the pointer.

well sprayed again, still couldn't spot any bugs. PH from soil run off was v acid though, red on scale have flushed about 6 times and got it to pale yellow but didn't want to cause any stress and had run out of 24hr+ water so have left it at that for now. We shall see!

thanks for al the advice peeps, i gave her a tobacco + chilli wash last night, will do the same again tonight and probably flush as well (dependant on PH run off), still haven't actually spotted any bugs but will get some NEEM from hydro store in next day or two. hopefully won't affect her too...
