if your going to do a DIY system them i would find something close and go with that. no need to be exact if you are doing DIY. if you absolutely have to have that size then i suggest buy there system.

i like the waterfarm in the second link. I currently have a 12 bucket diy waterfarm and a 4 bucket nft system. the waterfarm is definitely more energy efficient and cost effective imo.

looks like stained roots to me and not root rot. as for the amount of time you should wait until you add nutes in mho doesnt need to be any longer than 20 - 30 min. just long enough to make sure your system has fully cycled the peroxide.

i like the DNA hash plant haze it is a great producer and has knocked me on my ass several times. it just tends to get unruly if you let it veg too long. if you dont let it get over 15inches high before flowering you should be good to go with this stain.
