QWET and QUISO suggests you quickly wash small buds. I prefer a longer soak with ground material for a larger yield. Everything needs to be -60F though to prevent getting chlorophyll and other unwanted parts.
Good tips of tops seem to be the only part worth pressing. I always kept an eye out for them and would put them to the side for personal, back when I only had a very small press. Now that I've tried pressing all the buds on a larger scale, that motto has unfortunately proven to be oh so true!
I usually get an average of that, sometimes even more with BHO and flower rosin. Washing with ethanal and ISO at most I usually get 20%. With the QUISO and QWET methods I got the lowest yields only like 10%. So now I grind my material and wash at -60F to get the 20%. My material has always been...
So I pressed some aged OG Kush. It might be a year old or so. It was sealed and stored well. Humidity was right around 60%. I expected it to come out really dark because of it's age. But worse than that is it is the consistency of some sticky runny syrup. I can barely get any of it off the...
I can think of two options. First would be to get an at home kitchen counter Rosin Press, or if your husband wants to build one he can save a few bucks. There are many online options to purchase these ready to go. However, most are way overpriced! Dabpress is a company that seems to care in...
I believe that if you keep it in keif form, it'll last longer. Pretty sure I read that in a book called "Trash to Stash" many years ago. I guess these Temple Balls don't actually press it then.
Was that your take home after splitting with the processor? Or did you get to keep it all? How was the material? Trim, mids, or dank? It just seems like a really low yield. That ball looks amazing though! All majestic looking like it could tell the future, lol.
What state is this? So they let you grow your own, but no dispensaries? That sounds great to me! I hate all these crappy dispensaries hustling shitty shit! My favorite part of this whole new legal weed era, is teaching fellow patients. My objective is to teach my fellow man how to create...
Ok I've got the generic Yeti cooler from Wal-Mart that will work well then. For some reason I thought it needed to be in a freezer to help the dry ice from melting to fast. But I guess dry ice stays cold enough on it's own. Won't be needing to cool as long anyways though since I'll actually be...
Oh my goodness, I love having the controllers! I used cheap Harbor Freight temp guns for years. For a bit I was using a setup that my buddy MacGyver built using a digital toaster oven for the PID. It only heated up one plate though. So we'd put them together while warming up to transfer the...
These are the guys I got my press and supplies from. I've had good responses from them on tech support. They seem to be the best priced by far than any other online source. Damn near DIY price and all assembled.
I got their 7x7 20 ton. Unfortunately, their 30 ton has been out of stock. Hoping...
Hey brother. Hope you're having a good weekend.
My normal freezer has a deepfreeze mode. Made to fill the icemaker in 24 hours. Gets down to -15F. I'm wondering if it's safe to put dry ice in there getting it down to around -80F. I don't wanna mess up the house refrigerator/freezer! I gave my...
