The original hot soil has done this and when a young seedling is burnt its very hard to come back.

That plant was always a mongrel looking thing . Is that weeds growing in the other pot? Why?

Nothings wrong , it has another 6 weeks or so to go.

What is an acid mix? I've never seen anything quite like this.

It looks like it re vegged at some stage and now its flowering again. Clean up any brown/necrotic foliage ,feed it some PK and and let it go as normal.

The grasshopper is not doing this. It could be something in the soil with that plant, it looks near dead.

It could be a struggle, the clone is now diseased and if so wont root.

Is it winter there? that is a bit small for 2 weeks.
