perlite should help, but, if your first round died from damping off you need to sterilize the container before replanting in it. damping off can be caused by a fungus that thrives in cool damp conditions. be easy, :peace:

over watering, over feeding, high temps/unmananged ventilation/poor circulation--and concomitant humidity issues. Then, the biggest one of all i'd say, proper drying AND curing. just my two cents though :peace:
